I think you would have to take more than that for pain relief.
I was just wondering if trazodone is not as effective as tricyclics for pain.

Neither of them did anything for my pain when I was tried on them for neuro. pain (RSD, which I now believe was from Lyme/Bart.).

I tried both Elavil and Pamelor about 10 years ago. They only reduced the pain a bit, and had side effects. The Elavil nightmares were so bad I was literally afraid to fall asleep each night.
Also, just a warning, you need to wean off of them. My CNP pulled me off each one cold turkey - that was no kinds of good.

Hi
My pain has diminished as treatment continues, detoxing and biofim busters.
I also had someone in one of my other support group said they cured their fibromylgia/pain with higher doses of artemisnin/grapfruit seed extract pulsed.

Lymetoo: My daughter Anna was having chronic headaches everyday. We were giving her over the counter pain medications every day for the headaches.
The neurologist told us that giving pain medication every day can actually cause rebound headaches.
He then put her on 10 mg amitrimptyline as a headache preventative. In her case, the medicine did not work but the goal was to to use an anti-depressant to prevent the pain.
