How are the ilads docs dosing daraprim, which seems to be helping me, so taking it for only three days scares me to death. If it is helping these past two days, I'm afriad to stop taking it. Need to call the doc, but wondered what you all have been hearing about this.

Thanks ahead of time,
Mary

25mg, 1 tablet, twice daily along with Bactrim DS. You will need to treat for much longer than 3 days.

This is based on the malaria protocol using Daraprim. There are no guidelines for using Daraprim to treat Babesia. All LLMD's may use it differently.

I took it for six weeks for toxoplasmosis, along with zithromax. It helped me too.

You could add one of the known anti-malarial herbs or a combo to be more effective.

Byron White's A-bab is one option. Cryptolepis, artemesia, and sida acuta are also being used for treatment of babesia.

Other medicines could be malarone, clindamycin, coartem, plaquenil, zith, ...
