Hi Guys.

So for the folks that have taken DMSA for Mercury chelation, I have a question for you guys.

I am taking DMSA suppositories 2x week. So far it's ok. At first I got these stabbing pains all over but after the second time, it's been ok.

What I have noticed though, is that DMSA cuts down my usual low grade fever to normal! Now I almost always have the darn low grade fever and am wondering how come DMSA lowers it?

After about 24 hours the fever is back but I'm wondering is this a good sign?

I also have Hypoglycemia and I'm wondering could DMSA lower my already low sugar? Cuz that wouldn't be a good thing.

Maybe it's just lowering inflamation by taking the metals out and that's a great thing but I've had so many weird reactions to meds I just want to be sure.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I don't know. I was just going to warm you that if you have a sulfur sensitivity be careful of DMSA. I have the CBS mutation and when I took DMSA, it hit me very hard. I just about went off the deep end and I only took it 3 days.

Sounds like it is helping you so that is good. For anyone else, EDTA is probably safer.

Well, at least it sounds like it's getting better for you (second time ok).

Not sure about lowering temperature, but that's great if it's lowering it.

Hypoglycemia is common with lyme. I am not sure about lowing blood sugar.

I felt great once I started DMSA. I'm on an oral one though. It calmed me down. But after a couple of months, the metals really started dumping and I felt worse. It's all good though. At least I'm getting rid of them.

Yeast sensitivity is starting to get better, thank god.

Neff - Thankfully I"m not alergic to Sulfur in fact it seems by body really likes it!

Catgirl- I was going to check on you and see how you're coming along. Glad that you're doing good.

Are you still herxing really bad?

I really do want to do the orals they made me feel soo good, but the Doc insists on the DMSA suppositories, which are good but no where as great as when I took the orals.. ): oh well...

How much longer do you think you'll take the DMSA?
