They sure have a LONG patent. It used to be 7 yrs on new drugs. Now they keep "extending" it.

I think drug co's can have a max of 15 years patent protection, and they can extend this if they reformulate their drug, like what was done with asthma inhalers when the drug co's were required to remove CFC's as a propellant.

With Malarone going generic I would have thought sooner, not good news.
