I am getting ready to start taking antibiotic eye drops for neurotoxins in my eyes. Has anyone else done this before? I have a prescription for three different antibiotics and will switch off once a prescription runs out. I just got back from seeing Dr. C. in Missouri and he prescribed them for me because I failed an eye test. Does anyone know of any adverse side effects from the eye drops. C.P.

However, antibiotics do not address neurotoxins, as such but help stop the infection that result in toxic byproducts.
The antibiotics address infection. Your over all nutrient support will help move out toxins from all over your body.
ANTIOXIDANTS are essential for this "free radical scavenging" or toxic neutralizing action. Dark flavonoids, etc. from food and key supplements.
I would keep the eyes closed for a while after putting in the drops, sit down and lie back but not all the way down (so that less runs down the back of your throat).
By resting with eyes closed for at least 5 minutes, I think more of the goodness can be absorbed. -

Also be sure to get your FISH OIL - Many here really like OmegaBrite - just Google.
TAURINE is an essential amino acid for the eyes. Be sure your diet includes plenty. Vegetarians MUST supplement as it's primarily in muscle meat, fish and eggs. -

Thank you so much (everyone) for all of this great advice!!!! I will definitely read all of the literature mentioned above and am always looking for great sources of information.
Because he prescribed three different kinds of eye antibiotics, I imagine each bottle will last a month, so it will take me approximately three months to get through all prescriptions, and then he said to get a refill for the antibiotic that helps the most.
For the past six years, I've been on every kind of supplement you can imagine and some that you can't, but none have helped with any of my symptoms. I have so many genetic abnormalities and detox pathway problems that everything I take makes me sicker.
It's hard to believe I was the epitome of health just ten years ago and now I'm 49 going of 90. What's done is done and now I've got to remain strong and determined to get through this next phase in my recovery.

- If those are in plastic bottles be sure to keep from heat. Well, even if in glass, keep from heat and out of a steamy bathroom, away from the fridge motor, away from a computer or microwave, too.
Best if in a dark glass bottle but that's hard to find even with homeopathic eye drops.
You may want to consider a Berberine eye drop down the road. I'm needing to look into that for myself but have not begun the search yet.
If you have a compounding pharmacy near you, get to know the pharmacist there. They can make your very own eye drop. They can include natural Vitamin A, which is excellent for the eyes. Need refrigeration, though.
Ask about their ability to include antibiotics or something like Goldenseal.
You would need a prescription but they may be able to guide you with that, confer with your LLMD and then you'd have the Rx for them to work with. And that solution would likely come in a dark glass bottle.
Insurance may or may not cover, though, as they may for stock abx drops from any pharmacy. -

That's a new one on me.. the eye antibiotics. Hope it helps. (in lyme treatment)
You will need to do some research on detoxing. You can access that info here on this site. I'll bring you link in case you haven't seen the "search" button above.
You DO HAVE a high quality probiotic, don't you?? Maintain a sugar free, white food free diet. Limit fruit also.

Yes, I'll read all the detox info. Thanks! Can't eat much fruit at all because of the burning mouth. In fact, I don't eat much of anything. Nevertheless, I hope the sugar free and gluten free diets work or help. The eye antibiotics are as follows: Sulfacetamide Ofloxacin Azasite C.P.
