I watched the GMO video - thank you for sharing.

We are on a strict gluten/dairy free diet. Now I'm thinking we need to eliminate corn too.

What can we eat? I saw on the news that too much rice isn't good either due to arsenic levels.

I'd love to hear what others are eating. I really think food plays such a huge role in all of this.

Good question. I'm nearly starving over here!! [lol] .. not funny!

Eat vegetables and proteins... but the meats are a big problem if we're not eating grass fed, etc.

I'll send you info on a place I found in TX that sells it. You could save money by driving up there. It's just north of Paris, TX.

Factory chicken & turkey also has high levels of arensic. The key is to know where the food comes from and what kind of life it had from start to finish - whether plant, animal or fish.

I have avoided gluten, dairy, corn and soy for YEARS. I eat no GMOs, no processed or packaged foods and mostly organic.

Absolutely, I touch no food additives or even "natural flavors" - because of severe seizures they've caused me. I learned the hard way.

Even had to give up Almond milks due to additives. But I can make my own (walnuts and pecans work better since they are softer).

Well, okay, my Endangered Species GF 88% dark chocolate comes in a package. I eat once ounce a day, with nuts. That's the only packaged item I buy. And I do not feel deprived but very fortunate to know to avoid stuff in boxes.

Oh, and TINKYADA GF Pasta, twice a month. Their Penne is perfect and a little goes a long way with a veggie rich tomato paste to which I add my own spices so I know exactly what is in my meal.

I would, however, by crackers from Mary's Gone Crackers. They are an excellent product, just not within my budget.

And, once in a while I do buy a box of Gluten Free FALAFEL mix. But I see no other boxes in my kitchen.

I enjoy a wide range of foods. There are plenty of foods, real food from the earth & sea, delicious foods.

As for rice, get to know the grower. Looks for WILD rice, red & black rices - same with all the colors of Quinoa.

Millet and Amaranth are very nice, too, as a mini side-dish to lots of brilliantly colored veggies and a good protein that had a happy life grazing or swimming wild (or basking on a bean stalk).

Get to know exactly where the food comes from and then explore all the garden herbs and spices used all over the world. No need to be bored with any meal.

I'm not trying to say anyone has to take away food but, really, there can be tremendous freedom in breaking the chains of processed foods.

What really got me interested in flavor is:

Lentils are a really good source of protein. I use them to make lots of things... Red lentil soup, or I cook the lentils down and add some herbs and make patties with them, I also saut lentils with onions and garlic and Mexican spices and use it for " taco night" ( with organic gmo free corn chips). You can also add cooked ones to pasta sauce as a protein substitute ( too be eaten with gluten free pasta) kinda like a vegan bolognese.

You can also use different types of beans aduki, black beans, black eyed peas etc. And mung beans can be cooked down with olive oil and seasoning added after and tossed with pasta and broccoli. Fresh herbs and olive oil can make almost anything taste delicious. So introduce yourself to new ingredients and lots of fresh veggies, herbs, and olive oil.

The best way that worked for me wad to clean out the cabinets so everything left was all " safe" food. Then bought stuff like beans and lentils and then each night I would just look at what I had, and come up with something. Think of it as a new way to experiment and be creative.

As cow dairy seems to cause so many problems for me, GOAT CHEESE does not have the same effect & can be very nice and is often available locally.

I eat meats, veggies, very little fruit, nuts, yogurt made with skim milk only, and lemon water.

My one splurge is coconut dairy free ice cream. I am working on getting/making my own recipe to make coconut milk that is better for me.

Actually I am going to ask for a recipe on this board, maybe someone has one. Our house is boring when it comes to food.

Thanks for all of the replies. [Smile]

Our house is boring too when it comes to food.

I need to look into Goat Cheese......

TINKYADA GF Pasta is a staple around here.

If anyone has any easy recipes for gluten free, dairy free, organic, non GMO's, PLEASE post!

BORED to death with my food choices and it's about to get worse!

I think you could buy both blueberries and coconut milk that is organic. Stir up the coconut milk and pour over blueberries. I do add a bit of stevia or xylitol to sweeten a bit, but wouldn't have to. This is what I use for dessert.

I also do plain yogurt, coconut milk, and blueberries with cinnamon and stevia to make a smoothie. It is very good to my wharped taste buds.

A good strong blender and softer nuts like walnuts and pecans can make a nice smoothie base.

Or just add vanilla extract (NOT flavoring, ever) and a touch of stevia. A dash of nutmeg is festive, too.

About food. I just started the PH Miracle food plan. I eat lots of veggies, beans, oils, spices, lemon water, buckwheat cereal, almond milk, stevia and little meat. I feel great and I have only been doing this for one week, what a difference!

I have not found this diet to make a big difference. I still have the symptoms I had before, muscle twitching, internal shaking/vibrating and anxiety. After starting cortisol and thyroid meds I did find better energy and less brain fog.

I am a vegetarian who now eats veggies, quinoa, some brown rice, plain yogurt, walnuts/brazil/almonds, drink almond milk (away from doxy meds), lemon water and eggs that is about it. Hot tea too. Trying to stop the constant yeast infections is difficult.

I also do smoothies with green vibrance, soy unsweetened protien, powdered multi vitamin with kale/spinach and unsweetend coconut as a treat.

This diet is very limiting and boring which I can take, but am still getting the yeast!

Any suggestions?
