I will be going on a trip soon and need recommendations for a really good probiotic that does not need refrigeration.

Also, I have been taking VLS#3 and theralac for a long time and I'm thinking of switching to a dairy free probiotic......what do you all recommend?

Thank you all!

JJ

I too am traveling and was looking for another probiotic to try. A drug rep at my LLMD's left some samples of Florajen at the office they were refrigerated, however the package says they will remain effective up to 2 weeks without refrigeration so that is what I am going to try. I am also on VSL at night, and RAW women's probiotics during the day. www.florajen.com check it out. I only used the samples over a weekend trip, but this next trip is a week..hope it works as I am recovering from another yeast infection!

How about Dr. Ohhira's Probiotics? I've seen them at Whole Foods and other health food stores. Their FAQ page says these probiotics do not need to be refrigerated, just kept at room temperature.

I've been bringing mine in a cooler. When I get to my destination, in the fridge. It's a hassle for sure.

Thank you all for your responses.

I will check out florajen, custom probiotics and Dr. Ohira's.

Anyone else have any experience with these or any other non refrigerated probiotic?

Dr Ohira's is OK for travel but not very potent at all.

I have consistently used Sedona Labs IFlora professional strength.

They're potent, not needing refrigeration...more importantly, they've been great at holding the yeast at-bay, despite the high dose antibiotics I'm on.

They're not cheap, but they are effective.

Thank you guys for this great input.

Philly where do you buy your Custom Probiotics?

Andie where do you buy the IFlora?

I think you have to buy the Custom at the site above.

$45 for 90 capsules of 50 billion CFU's each

Thanks, Lymetoo.

Does anyone know how Custom Probiotics compares with VSL#3 and Theralac.......is it better or more effective?

I've tried all three. I think it's very good. Sure, I still have yeast .. but it seems to be stable.
