If I walk up a flight of stairs my legs are burning by the time I get to the top. Like the lactic acid buildup I used to get in my sports days lifting weights.

But this isn't a "feel good" burn. It's depressing.

Any coinfections associated with burning sensation in muscles?

Cane,

Babesia has, in my opinion, a kick in the muscles. Can't say that is what is going on with you, but that burn isn't nice.

Lemon juice reduces my burning by getting rid of the lactic acid.

Oh, and I mean drink it, don't rub it on your legs!

[lol]

Cane...

Me too, same exact symptoms. Muscles exhausted by just doing day-to-day things like climbing stairs. I'm young, skinny, & used to be a runner/hiker so there is no reason for me to have tired achey muscles. I've heard that the Lyme is taking away all of the oxygen that should be going to your muscles & that's why they are so tired & achey after you do anything (especially if you run on treadmill).

I also think it's Mycoplasma & maybe Heavy Metal Toxicity caused by the Mycoplasma keeping the metals in you.

How is treated-it looks like doxy and Biaxin hit it?

I heard the muscle weakness was a Babs symptom-so confusing. My acupuncturist says it's stored toxins!

I have the exact same thing. When we went on vacation we had to walk up several flights of stairs several times a day as the elevator was one of the oldest in the States and would require an attendant.

Of course I wanted to be like everyone else and take the stairs, but by the end of day 2 I was in tears from such extreme muscle burning in my legs and hips.

I still find that the slightest exertion brings on so much muscle burn. I want to exercise but there is just no way as I suffer so much afterwards.

I have found that magnesium has helped as well as a good high quality fish oil.
