Wondering if any one experiences severe nausea after detox baths?

I've been having nausea from the new combo of antibiotics i'm on, I take w/food to lessen, but still strong nausea.

I've been doing detox baths throughout this whole thing, for a year, so they're not new for me.

Lately I can barely take the detox baths because of this, and now it's also when I just take a hot shower, to the point I'm vomiting.

Idk, maybe it's something else causing it, but lately, I can't even finish my baths, I have to get out and vomit. anyone else w/this?

My son used to get severe nausea with detox baths. We backed off and did detox FOOT baths until he could tolerate that and then went back to the full body baths. We had a chair in the shower for him because he would often fall down.

We now have a whole house filter on the water. What water goes onto our bodies goes into our bodies!

The other thing I will mention is we found out that mold played a major role in my son's complete and total decline in health.

If you have mold in your bathroom, it is in your whole house... but if it is in your bathroom and you are taking a bath... you may be getting even sicker because of the up close exposure.

Our mold was hidden behind the walls of a fiber glass tub... you couldn't see it or smell it.

It could be from the heat. It is common to have autonomic instability with lyme.

ok I have another question, is there a way to get the mold tested in your house? and who would I have to come and do that?

I would test with a home test. There are several to choose from. The Environmental Relative Moldiness Index (ERMI) http://bit.ly/MSQ69G (link goes to EMSL labs- direct link to order ERMI)

http://www.homemoldtestkit.com - has tape tests and air tests

or

http://referzo.com/heatherplude/www.homeaircheck.com/?src=rzo

This is a referral link, but I have it set so the 10% refund will be refunded to the buyer. So if you order through that link you will get a refund of up to 10% for everything you order (it takes 20-30 days)

If you do hire someone, May Dooley is trustworthy. Her contact info is on her website:

If you have a sulfur sensitivity you may be reacting if you are using Epsom Salts (it is magnesium sulfate). I've become more sensitive to all sulphur, sulphates, sulphites, etc.

Hi momlyme [hi] Miss you!

You say:

" . . . been having nausea from the new combo of antibiotics . . . ." (end quote)

Sounds like that's the problem. It's the new med combo and if you have nausea before the bath, the bath will make that worse.

It's really quite an ordeal for our bodies to endure a bath. All our systems are stressed, even if it should be relaxing. IMO, nothing is really relaxing when carrying lyme & co.

Aside from the new medicine combination as the likely cause, basic questions to make bath time easier and more enjoyable:

Was it too hot? For too long? Maybe you could handle it before but can't now. Just listen to your body and back off all around.

Hope you feel better soon.

AVOID HOT BATHS or HOT SHOWERS. Here's why.

Toasty, cozy WARM is the way to go for most. Here's why.

Any new scents in soaps or shampoo? A new shower curtain or rug? (Avoid vinyl shower curtains). Anything else new to the room? Anything at all?

You might need to change some support methods.

keebler-I have general nausea from the new meds but I will have no nausea at all and then about 20 minutes into the bath I have to vomit.

But I have to take the baths because my pain is so bad , I don't know maybe I'll just make them shorter.
