Trying to hold a book up my triceps burn and feel weak. My thighs are always hurting esp if I climb stairs. Blow drying my hair is a nightmare.

What causes this! LLMD not sure if its babs Lyme or Bart.

Why neuro? Just curious since this has been a primary symptom of mine for years. It seems/feels muscular to me. I take neurontin but it doesn't help.

I think magnesium helps with these symptoms.

I also thought it was a babs symptom. I have had this with a vengeance since I started treating the co-infections.

I take so much magnesium, as well as neurotin, and neither really seems to help.

Hopefully, someone on this thread will chime in and suggest a way to start reversing this.

weakness and burning as well as sharp electric -like or stabbing pain are considered neuro as far as i know.

muscle pain i believe is more of an aching or cramping.

if neurontin works then you would know it was neuro. but it doesnt work for many neuro problems-like trigem.

i'm not the expert tho...this is just the way pain has been described to me over the past 30 yrs by many different docs.

For me, it was spine damage for one thing - which I do blame on Lyme wreaking havoc on the bones.

An MRI was a scary revelation. Everything is not "just Lyme" ... or can be the result of damage from Lyme but can then become an issue of its own.

However, since starting an additional 2,0000 iu D and 200 mcg Folic Acid and then B12 shots, I have been doing so much better with the arm & leg weakness. I can brush my teeth, shampoo, even cut my hair without stopping all the time to rest my arms.

But since I started all 3 at the same time, I cannot say which one for sure. I was taking a daily liquid multi-vit-min already - these are in addition.

I was already on extra magnesium for years before adding the above 3 which somehow made a big difference.
