Hi, I have an appointment with an LLMD next month and I suspect I've had Lyme for many years, I am in too much pain to write details but have probably most of the symptoms on the symptom list.

My biggest problem is neck/spine pain right now. It's excruciating. I've been to chiropractors, Reiki practitioners, etc. with zero success and tried many treatments. My MRI's are clear.

I know this is not an easy illness, does anyone else have this horrible neck/spine pain? What helped you the most?

YES! I had SEVERE neck pain and stiff necks every day for over a year. After 2 months of treatment, I'm currently having a severe headache and severe stiff neck about 3 or 4 days in a row and then not having a headache or severe stiff neck for 4 or 5 days. Still a long way to go, but definitely better.

Wow-that's a long time to have so much pain. It's only recently this has flared up to an intolerable level. Great that you have had some improvement-I'll take anything at this point but am scared from what I've read that it might get worse before it gets better??

Yes.

Be sure to avoid any treatment that might suddenly twist the neck or spine, never, ever do that with lyme.

You might find someone trained in the UPLEDGER TECHNIQUE - that is always gentle for the neck and spine.

They need not be lyme literate as they won't be treating you for lyme, but to tell them of your diagnosis and be certain they will not suddenly twist neck or spine.

Google: UPLEDGER INSTITUTE - then "find a practitioner"

Much of the pain from lyme comes from the toxic load. Liver support can help a great deal to lessen pain:

LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too.

and MAGNESIUM & FISH OIL. Detail here:

I've already been taking fish oil and magnesium for my 'fibro' symptoms but maybe I need more?? No worries, just gentle treatment for subluxations in the past. Nothing at present. Appreciate your input.

Might also try curcumin.

Tai Chi helps a lot. I have done it for a year and have experienced a lot of improvement in pain.
