Did anyone else see the report on NBC news about patients having disabling brain fog for months or years from chemotherapy?? The report stated there is new imaging where doctors can actually see the areas impacted by the chemotherapy. The good news is that most of these patients recovered from this even if it took them years.

I often wonder if the years of harsh drugs including IVs impact us in a similar fashion. I think some of those drugs did a number on my bones, in particular!

It is drug induced toxicity.

Chemo is nothing but poison. Antibiotics, Antimalarial, Antifungals, steroids... all of them are legalized poisons and if used, must be detoxed in order to allow the body to heal completely.

I have been sick for 20+ years... I didn't feel well until I found an effective way to rid my body of the toxins.

Btw, if there is a youtube of that NBC news story... I would like to see it.

I watched the story also. It got me to thinking what the comparibles would be between lyme brain fog and chemo brain fog?

It must be neurotoxins that many of us carry prior to the chronic illness. The immune system is operating and able to control the metals, parasites, molds, viruses, bacteria etc to a certain degree.

Lyme brain happens prior to abx tx and certainly with abx tx. So it's not just toxins from lyme meds.

Chemo, I agree is toxic, so it makes sense that it would cause brain fog. It reminds me of all the Gigi reading I've done for years on this site.

Healing from lyme & co is so much more than just clearing our bodies of known or unknown bacteria. Detox and lifestyle changes are crucial. Big picture here.

Lyme itself creates toxins, plus it is an infection. I have heard one LLMD describe toxins from Lyme and coinfections as bugs living in our bodies and they pee and poop too.

I got rid of all my symptoms by doing an effective cleanse. I say effective because I had tried dozens of detoxing protocols and a half dozen cleanses... none of them did much noticeable good until this one I started in September.

I felt well in 5 days.

i have a friend who would have died in her late teens if she didnt take massive chemo

she is in 40s and happy to be alive but disabled from chemo experience. she does have brain fog but also has had major nerve and joint problems...many major surgeries...replacements, too much to say. except she has the most incredible personality of happy to be alive, want to do fun things, wanting to help others...she is an inspriation to me

but we do compare notes and many of our challenges are similar

what is the best way to detox Neurotoxins? There are tons of detox kits and herbs, but it seems like flushing Neurotoxins is an elusive task. Is there really any way to do it?
