I press 1 clove garlic into a cup.
Juice one apple plus 2 carrots and add to cup, stir.
If I do this early, when coming down with the cold it works.

I am keeping all these great remedies in a file!
I would also recommend home-made chicken soup. Of course when you're not feeling well, who feels like making anything?
But if you make chicken soup ahead of time, it freezes well and can be pulled out when you're sick.

Yes, garlic is excellent.
Also, can cut up an onion and leave it sitting in a dish in the room. Supposedly, the onion absorbs the germs out of the air...
When my Mom was a kid, her Mom had her wear a bag of raw onion pieces in a sac tied around her neck when she had a cold...it helped.
Also, if there is a cough, a castor oil pack on the chest can help get rid of the gunk...castor oil pulls toxins out of the body.

Cold Calm by Bioron - homeopathic; helps me a lot if I begin using it with the first symptoms. It helps reduce the symptoms, and shortens the length of the cold.
Airborne - I use it with the Cold Calm. Together they both help.

Olive leaf extract ! Powerful and a lot of science behind it . Do a search at pub med or NIH . I have doctor friends who use it too .
The other sure fire bet is mushroom capsules : reishii or maitaki or chaga . They stimulate white cells powerfully and are also researched scientifically . I think these are well worth the money and TRULY shorten infections like a virus or cold or flu ! I would take several capsules the first few days of an infection 5-6 .
If you go to iherb you can search these products and see the reviews ( many ) by users who testify they work.
With Olive Leaf, I would get the strongest percentage of OLEUPURIN available. Nature's Way has one particular formula that is 20 % oleuropein. CHECK THE LABEL for the EXACT percentage . Also , I take 6-7 capsules daily when an acute infection starts . You can do that safely for several days, but you will feel noticeably better FAST .
