Has anyone found a cheaper way to treat MTHFR than DEPLIN? I have read about Duleek and Enfolast , but know nothing about cost or effectiveness.

If you have any experience withh this , please share .

You can get a 90 day supply of 15 mg deplin at a discount from www.deplin.com, there is a link to some supersaver program. The other methyl folic acid supps were not enough for me.

I just ordered Life Extension Optimized Folate through Amazon for $21.00 for 60 tabs . I will take one daily for a while , then consider taking two tabs. The reviews were overall good .

IMPORTANT NOTE : There were reviewers who had neuropathy and pain improved after taking this .
It appears that folate affects every part of body and all systems . One reviewer was advised to take it by her cardiologist .

I will post later my experience after I try this . I suspect I will lower my dose of zoloft eventually if it works .

If you read Deplin reviews at drugs.com , you may be amazed LITERALLY at the effect it had on SOME ( many ) people who had bad depression or were bipolar . Some people said that their antidepressant worked far better , and a few even quit the antidepressant .

My depression is managed with low dose zoloft and SAM E and fish oil, but frankly there are days I still feel it could be improved . Some reviewers stated that deplin helped with mental focus and ADD symptoms.

Another reason this appears critical is its link to the most important antioxidant in our bodies, made by the liver , glutathione. LOW glutathione = POOR health PERIOD . There are times I wonder if that is the reason many of us never fully recover after Herculean efforts .

Thanks to each of you for sharing !!
