Dear Friends,

After engaging in yet another therapy for a significant amount of time that yielded some improvement, but not enough, I have found and am using something that is clearly beneficial for brain fog, vertigo, out-of-balance feelings, and other brain/nervous system problems:

AN INVERSION TABLE!

This is a mechanical handling for the adverse effects of Chronic Cerebral Spinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI). (Please see some of the posts here at LymeNet about this condition, and also the notes on the "Deep Look Beyond Lyme" conference at TheBetterHealthGuy.com website)

It increases blood flow to the brain and also the flow of toxins out of the brain.

Binders are recommended to pick up the toxins so removed. I take---and have been taking----chlorella and recently diatomaceous earth.

In just a few weeks of using the inversion table for a few minutes at a time 3-6 times a day, I have much greater mental stability, no more vertigo, no more dizzy spells, no more nearly falling into things due to poor balance. I've had these problems since about 2003, and nothing up to this point had gotten rid of them for more than a few days (at best).

I'm still taking many supplements for the brain and others for detoxing, so the inversion table may be helping these things do what they've been supposed to be doing all along by dealing with the blood flow issue on a mechanical level.

Anyway, success is where you find it!

My continued thanks to LymeNet and the people who post here for making it possible to find out about these things.

Best,

Cass A

Interesting. Wondering how you figured out this would help. It is being sold to people with back trouble.

Glad you are getting much deserved relief. You have me wondering how this would help people with POTS.

Cass,

That's great to hear.

Might you recommend the top choices you considered - and the one you chose? Then those interested can take a few specific links to the their doctor to discuss.

These things are not for everyone. Side effects do occur. But if it helps and your one of the individuals healthy enough to do it I'm all for it.

We have an inversion table and I have often wondered if it might help me. Problem for me is that I do have a hiatal hernia and I remember it aggravating acid reflux when I used to use it. Those side effects were rather alarming!

It makes sense that it would increase blood flow to the brain and perhaps help with moving toxins out of there. I am going to ask my LLNP about her thoughts on this.

I would love to give it another try and see if it helps. Perhaps just using it at a very slight angle would be safer to start.

Thanks for the tip and I hope it keeps on helping you!

how does hangin upside down bring blod flow out of the brain, i like the idea cause theres no taking of any kind of medication, i just dont really understand how it could reverse bloodflow out of the brain

"how it could reverse bloodflow out of the brain"

I think the idea is that it is supposed to increase blood flow, which therefore enables natural processes (including detox) and giving more reach for abx and supplements.

Many Lymies suffer from hypoperfusion in the brain, which just means decreased blood flow.

Decreased blood flow means that baddies can get lodged in there and wreak their havoc.

Dear Friends,

Thanks for the conversation on this topic! I got the "Hang-Ups" version many years ago for back problems, which it definitely helped. Now, I use it as often as I can!!! A friend of mine has a type that holds at the hips, rather than at the ankles. I'll get the name of that one as soon as I can, and post it.

Just using a board propped up so that you could lie down with your head lower than the rest of your body would be a start, and you could see for yourself if it worked for you.

I like having the inversion table, even though I don't invert to a full upside-down position. I have a place where I can keep it set up, so it's convenient any time I can get the few minutes to use it or if I feel some of the symptoms that I now know come from blocked blood flow in the brain. Personally, I don't want to be moving something around or setting something up in that condition!!

The discussion here on CCSVI, especially Dr. K's recommendation in the notes on the "A Deep Look Beyond Lyme" available at TheBetterHealthGuy.com website, got me excited about using the inversion table to deal with brain blood flow.

Essentially, what he found was that the blood often can't get out of the brain and pools there. By measuring for iron's location, he found evidence of dead red blood cells located at the valves that let blood from the brain back into the general vein system. So, the blood wasn't getting OUT, and as a result, new blood couldn't easily get IN, either.

There is no pump for the veins OR for the lymph system, both of which are involved in getting rid of toxins.

Reversing the pressure of gravity, minimally, shakes things up and gets them moving in these two key systems.

Other assistance, like herbs or enzymes or medications to deal with biofilms or the Fry bug (BLO) that actually can cause this problem, etc., would be part of the overall solution.

Anyway, I'm having some hoped-for success using the inversion table and am passing the data along for others to try.

Best,

Cass A

Dear Friends,

I promised the info on the inversion table that clamps at the hips instead of at the ankles, and here it is from my friend who has one:

"The inversion unit that I have (and love) is called The Back Revolution - the website on my literature is www.backrevolution.com. I bought it 4/2011 for $472.95 (I think I got a $20 discount) - that included $60 shipping. I put it together myself - I must admit it was a bit of a challenge. It came in a large box and weighs 83#s and is very stable. "

Currently, a different brand that has ankle clamps is on sale at Big 5 Sporting Goods for $89. I often see it on sale for $99. If you have one of those store in your area, you could go in and see it and perhaps try one out right there.

Best,

Cass A
