Does anyone have suggestions how to ease the pain in the pelvic area and lower back? The past two weeks I have been experiencing a lot of pelvic pain. My lower abd area, my sides, and lower back hurt a lot. It's hard to stand or walk sometimes.
I am not sure what is causing it. I am not sure if it's hormonal. I never get normal periods. I always get them after 3-4 months. Sometimes more time, sometimes less.
I don't have money to see doctors at the moment. I just want ways to ease the pain.
Or.. go to ACE Hardware and look for "Two Old Goats"... it's a cream.. good stuff!
I'm doing both plus essential oils.
(I only use the TOG in desperation .. I try to stay with more natural stuff like the oils.)

Do you know where your kidneys are located? Here's a diagram, as seen from the back. They are tucked up against the spinal column, so you would feel pain in your back and maybe your sides (flanks).
What about your urine. Is it clear...if it's cloudy that may be due to castes in the urine, or bacteria. If it's foamy, that may be due to extra protein in the urine, which is a kidney problem.
How is your appetite. Are your stools normal. Is your temperature normal...check with an oral thermometer. A fever may indicate an infection. It's normal to be a degree or so elevated in the afternoon or evening, so check it a couple times, and write it down for comparison later.
You may need to be evaluated by a doctor if this does not resolve and continues to get worse. Look, I know your father doesn't have a job now, but I'm sure your parents would rather take money out of savings than have their daughter be deathly ill.
The doctor would palpate your abdomen to locate the source of the pain, and can do a simple urinalysis in the office to see if there is bacteria, blood, protein.
As for the irregular menstrual cycle, that may be due to your debilitated physical condition. Look into Vitex, or Chaste Berry, as a gentle way to help. http://www.iherb.com/Chaste-Berry-Vitex
It's not expensive, and has helped many women, according to the reviews. Lyme can mess up the hormones.

You really should get checked out by a gyn . There are so many things that could be causing this type'of'pain. Ovarian cysts, endometriosis, PID, bladder infections etc. Somethings can be serious if left untreated.

I'm having pretty much the same thing. Went to the ER last week because it hurt to walk. I thought maybe UTI. They thought the same thing but did a CT anyway and found a larger then normal cyst on my left ovary.
Had no idea they could be so painful.

I did have very small cysts on my ovaries few years back, and they went away on their own

Couple other things - if it's muscular, I do a lot of stretching out.
If it's vertebrae or pelvic bones out, good chiropractors can fix that.

Very very lower back hurts. I do get my blood work every month so I know it's not my kidneys or liver. You might want to make sure it's not a UTI either, they can be serious.

Im going tomorrow to check it's not a uti. This pain is only getting worse. I hope nothing with the kidneys. I know that my bladder is inflamed

Did a kidney an liver function test, and a test for uti. Results will come back in two days. This pain is getting so much worse. I wonder if it's all lyme disease. Im not on any treatments

Did the doctor give you a prescription for antibiotics? They will help for an infection, but she'd prescribe specific antibiotics depending on what the infection is.
Did she give you any instructions on what to do until you find out the test results?

Yeah she prescribed antibiotics... I didnt pick them up yet. She said i can wait for the results if i want to, or go head and take the antibiotics. She said it's for a uti for your bladder and kidneys.
I don't have any pain when urinating.. And my urine is mostly clear. I do urinate a lot though even without having too much fluids, and this issue been going on for more than a month.
Also I have loose stools with a lot of mucus.

What was your temperature? A fever is part of the body's immune response to an infection.
If the doc thinks you have a urinary tract infection involving the kidneys or bladder, you should take the antibiotics.

Carol, i don't have a thermometer; therefore, I didn't check my temp. My mom felt my skin and said it's not too warm. So, I am not sure if I have a fever.

Macrobid is used to treat urinary tract infections. It works by interfering with various chemical processes in the bacteria, which results in the death of the bacteria.
Take each dose with a full glass of water. Take Macrobid with food.
Go ahead and take it. Whenever starting a new med, watch for allergic reactions, such as rash, itching.
It's a good idea to keep Benedryl on hand in case of allergic reactions. The store brand is fine.
When you go to the drugstore to get Benedryl, look for a digital thermometer. The cheap ones are fine...mine is still working after 25 years!

Thank you so much carol. Im getting the antibiotic tomorrow. As of now im just drinking herbal teas to ease the pain.
