So I am having one of those days where I feel very wierd in my head. I feel very off balance although I really am not. I can walk fine but when I close my eyes I feel like I am gonna tip over. Also when I was in the grocery store I almost felt like my feet weren't touching the ground. I felt very odd and had a hard time getting through shopping.
I am also super fatigued...so very tired I want to just lay down and close my eyes. It Is a most disturbing symptom and very uncomfortable...2nd day in a row with this although I have had many times before. Can anyone relate to this? Please anyone....

Kim, Yes,Yes.. i so can relate to the point I have almost become agoraphobic , not wanting to leave the house because of this feeling. It also happens when I take a shower. Then there are days this weird head feeling isn't there and that feels so wonderful..
I have posted many many times about my weird head feeling.. Guess its just one of unusual lyme symptoms..
When this happens the best thing I can do is take a xanax and go to bed hoping for sleep.. This helps for awhile but it always returns..
Oh, and to plan going some where and get this feeling, which is so unpredictable, terrifies me and I usually cancel plans..
I am of no help but sure can relate.. Hope you get an answer as to why this happens..

Might be a side effect of a medication...? Could be other things, too. Symptoms of pathogens, toxins, die-off... It's not fun but it does happen with this illness.
Maybe try some binders like charcoal? You have to be careful if you are taking medications, though. It can make them less effective.

I particularly notice this when my protocol has been changed. I call it "loopy". I thought I was past all this but apparently not.
I just need to be where it is quiet. I find it difficult to process information, be it the grocery store or today it was at the paint store shopping for a paint color...HA.

Hi Kim I am new to posting here. I too get this weird feeling. And it does make me afraid to go out at times as I never know when it will come. And Koo-I agree-just need to go somewhere where it is quiet and lie down and it typically passes. Hang in there

Kim, you sure aren't alone on this one! I have these days on and off. I noticed thought that i've only really had them stronger since doxy was added to my lineup. Some days I don't have it at all and others, I load up on xanax to keep level headed.

Isn't it amazing there are soooo many people on here that have such weird (normal to us) symptoms that just seem so crazy?

Glad to hear I am not the only one with this crazy head feeling .. My question is why does xanax seem to help, has to be some connection? I won't leave home without them..

Thank you everyone for the response! This feeling upsets me so much I just want to sit in a corner and cry... I don't have it everyday either but I can have it for days and then it will go away.
It has to be one of the worse symptoms...I usually try to lay down early afternoon when I can't take it any longer..take half klonopin and try to relax..
It is especially hard if I have it on a day I work...it takes all I have to get through my shift . And yes..I have it in the shower too....
I am only treating Bart at the moment..my doc says it is a Bart symptom but I did read it under a bab list.
Why oh why must we have such strange and bizarre problems..at least you all know what I am talking about..

Have you tried salt/c? Salt c and parasite meds have really knocked my babs back. I was (still am) on malarone and had little improvement. But once I started focusing on parasites, my babs got better. I take a very low dose of salt/c since I'm back on abx for lyme.
Gael (parasite warrior) said salt c got rid of her babs.

I am not even being treated for babs right now..only Bart. I was treated years ago but never had this symptom back then. This is a problem I have been having since being bit again last June in North Carolina. This is a fairly new symptom for me..I have no other symptoms of babesia...I don't see my doc for another 2 months to talk with him about treatment .
Have not tried parasite or salt c....

I think it is related to the inner ear. Xanax calms the inner ear. Doxy, rifampin and coartem together herxed the feeling terrible 2 yrs ago but also seemed to clear it for good after 6 weeks and it has never been back. yes I did take them together. the coartem was 7 day pulses.

I have had this symptom while off the abx also..it comes and goes..sometimes I don't have it for weeks then it will come back and hang around for a week..very annoying!
