Can you make your own?? Or could you damage tissue that way??

No, I make my own. However- I add a little bit of coconut oil in the capsule which really cuts down on the irritation!

- For many women, this goes just fing but, if tissue if very irritated, burning can happen. The ratio of ingredients is really important. I would do a LOT of coconut oil and just a little tiny bit of the boric acid. Tiny, tiny bit.
Put in freezer to let it form into a workable piece - but also realize that as it melts, well, it will melt. Gravity happens.
There are some capsules formulations that can be inserted at night, less oil to "melt" - but I found one kind of these to really burn so much.
You might search for TORI HUDSON, ND - a gyn. ND's site and book.
There is an Olive Leaf product specifically for women's needs at SEAGATE's site.
There are also some homeopathic suppositories. -

- Seagate's site is here, they have a full range of products (and ideas for what you can create on your own):
. . . Made from organic or wildharvested material, in solar infused herbal oil and in a base of natural beeswax. No artificial ingredients, no synthetics, no petroleum products and certainly no perfumes. . . . (end excerpt)
I do not see any suppositories listed, however, you could call them about one of these being used as a suppository. Small bits could be frozen for easy application.

HERB PHARM would be another place you might inquire - and many health minded markets carry their products. -

Good thing I didn't use that capsule filled with only boric acid last night!

Have you ever tried Yeast Arrest? The suppositories have boric acid in them.
Pure formulas.com seem to have a good price and free shipping.
They seem to work for our daughter.

Pretty good price. Thanks.
I have a bottle of boric acid sitting here.

Hi Lymetoo, I have used the boric acid capsules as suppositories and they can cause some burning. I have vulvodynia so I can't do them every day.
I don't do them much because I found the Yeast Arrest supps by Vitannica which are great. They help with both yeast and BV.
I have been struggling with BV and a lot of pain from it and recently tried using a goldenseal capsule as a suppository. That caused a lot of burning but it eventually helped the BV. I am now just taking the goldenseal orally and it seems to be helping the BV. In the past I had used yeast arrest but it wasn't working this time. It has been a great product for me in the past through. And I think Tori Hudson is the doctor who created the formula for it. Both Yeast Arrest and Tori Hudson were mentioned separately above!
Keebler - I am going to look into that goldenseal ointment you mentioned...it must be antimicrobial with the goldenseal but it still doesn't irritate you?
