Burrascano's guidelines say specifically no Mag-Cal supplements.
My LLNP says use Calm w/Calcium.
Thoughts?

Most nutritionists tell you that you need to take Magnesium with Calcium. But I don't. I don't like any combination supplements because then I can't tell what I am reacting too.
I also want more Magnesium than Calcium. They have recently come out saying no more than 600mg/day of Calcium is recommended.
So I take them separately. FWIW.

I believe this is the quote you are referring to:
"DO NOT rely on cal-mag, calcium plus magnesium combination tablets, as they are not well absorbed." (page 28)
Since Natural Calm with calcium is not a combination tablet, I would say that Burrascano was not talking about this product in the statement above. I believe he is strictly talking about tablets called cal-mag, and he is trying to make the point that they are junk.
Natural Calm is a powder and it has one of the best forms of magnesium in it when it comes to absorbability. So, I would follow your LLNP's advice.

Calcium and magnesium compete for absorption, I have been told, and should be separated by 2 hours. I am mystified by the number of supplements that have them together.
