I don't want to take anymore drugs.

I am so depressed and sometimes anxious that I can't deal. My son deserves better. I do some better when I'm not so sick. This is dragging on n on n I'm getting more depressed.

What has worked for others? I need something that will really work?

For anxiety, inositol (in therapeutic doses) helps me a lot. There are studies on this.

Depression can be a result of a liver that is overwhelmed -- or an adrenal system that is just kaput (as lyme does).

Liver support (which includes magnesium & fish oil) and Adrenal support have been my best anti-depressants.

VERY dark chocolate, too, about 88%. Just one ounce. With nuts or not to far following a meal. If candida is an issue, go for just cocoa powder, mix with some coconut oil and a drop of Stevia Drop by SweetLeaf.

Cocoa should be organic as some has been found to contain lead (grown too close to roads in countries that still use leaded gasoline). Organic cocoa has a full set of safeguards and most organic brands (esp. if fair trade) also do not force children or slave labor as do some chocolate companies.

LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too.

You mention anxiety. Taurine and also Lithium OROTATE can be helpful.

FISH OIL, too. Be sure to never skip that. OmegaBrite has been one that many say is much better than others to pull mood out of the gutter.

Be sure your LLMD assesses you for Bartonella.

Liver and Adrenal support are key there but also be sure your food supply is not gettting any of this stuff sneaking in, as any of these can send anxiety to the moon:

Excitotoxins; MSG; Aspartame; & "Natural" Flavors . . .

The MUSIC OF MOZART has been shown to have unique qualities (over all other composers of his time, or ours).

And he never "dumped" bad mood into any of his pieces. They are all uplifting. Some are more peppy than others but if you go for the collections such as: Mozart for Massage; Mozart for Midnight; etc.

(and remember that HIS midnight was more energetic than OURS) . . . this may just help set the stage for your brain to make happier music inside. Even Mozart for Meditation has energy to it.

WILD salmon. Sardines - especially for breakfast, with greens. Garden herbs, such as rosemary or thyme, can class up the greens.

WILD PLANET Sardines is a good, clean brand.

Eggs from "happy" hens, pasture raised, organically fed. I just found some that are actually right from my own town, no shipping in at all. They taste so much better, too. Farmers' markets are excellent places to find such eggs, too.

Many eggs come from hens that are stuck in cages. Even cage-free can mean they are still stuck in a barn with no room at all.

Coconut oil, too. These kinds of good fats (and deep or bright colors from the plant world) help our brain and mood.

Gentle exercise, even just a stroll. A little dance to a tune while making dinner, etc.

Bach Floral Remedies or Homeopathy may be helpful if you can't tolerate the supplements.

And do consider methylation issues as a cause of anxiety & depression...or at least, could make infection-related issues much worse...

Nothing has helped me as much as a Lighbox, used every day, for at least an hour or more. You can get them now on Amazon for under $100. Everyone should have one. It helps my entire family. My son went off antidepressants once he started using the lightbox.
