Hi - can someone please recommend a reliable pharmacy to get low dose naltrexone from? Are we allowed to post pharmacy names on here? If not, could you please PM me?

I have seen the list on lowdosenaltrexone.org but with all the bad press on compounding pharmacies, a personal recommendation would be really great.

Unfortunately, I did not get a good feeling from talking with the pharmacist at the pharmacy that my LLMD recommended (which was not on the list). And then I googled them and found a news article about a 5 year old dying after taking a med from there that was compounded incorrectly. So obviously looking elsewhere now!

Thanks for your rec! I'm eager to start LDN (and would also love to hear any experiences about that).

thanks!

How sad about the five-year-old. I don't blame you for not wanting to use that pharmacy.

I use Gideon's Drugs in New York, 212-575-6868. It is inexpensive, they ship it to your house, and I have never had any problems.

My husband and I use Gideon's also.

I use them as well. They've been fine, no issues.

I recommend Irmat Pharmacy in NYC.

They deliver very quickly, price is very reasonable and I've never had an issue with them.

Gideon's drugs only charges $18 per month. If you live in NYC, they will deliver for free. They are completely trustworthy.

The "compounding pharmacy" that was in the news for the tainted IV drugs is NOT a usual compounding pharmacy at all. It was a mill mass producing meds in an illegal way. Most compounding pharmacies are very small businesses and quite ethical.

Rumigirl, does that $18 charge apply to all mgs of LDN?

I get mine from Skip's in Florida. They ship it to me in MA. Um, could you please PM me if that is the pharmacy that caused the death of the 5 year old (how horrible!!!)? Thanks!

beaches: I have gotten all doses up to 4.5mg LDN through Gideon's for $18 plus $7 shipping.

WOW! I think I'll have to switch to Gideon's.

Irmat charges more than that. And I've noticed that the price goes up according to dosage.

$18 + $7 shipping per month is nothing. I'm paying A LOT more than that. Thanks for the info!

Here are some reliable compounding pharmacies listed on the LDN website.

http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org/index.htm#How_can_I_obtain_LDN

I order 50mg tablets from RIver Pharmacy which is here.
https://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/

I mix my own. To make 3 mg doses, I break up (3) 50mg tablets and add 50 ml of bottled water. It takes a couple of hours to completely dissolve. 1 ml dropper has 3 mg. I got the measuring syringe I need from K Mart. Shake well before each use.

Mixing my own, I could start very low and work my way up. It is also very cheap. If you buy 30 tablets for $105, it will last 500 days. That is 21 cents a day.

I think I did the math right.

Beaches I get three months at a time, so I save on monthly shipping charges. I think it is $61.00 for three months which includes shipping.
