Does anyone know of any rifampin interactions? On Drugs.com, it says major interaction with quinine. That's a separate drug right? Not an ingredient in any common ones that people with lyme take?

Make sure you eat when you take Rifampin. I know the directions say to take on an empty stomach but most people can't do it.
It really upsets the tummy if you don't eat with it. My husband didn't listen and boy did he get sick when he took it without eating.
LLMD said it is better to eat when you take it than to not be able to take it at all.

Rifampin can lower the amt of certain drugs in your body. It also messed with my estrogen big time. It didn't agree with me at all.

I took Rif on an empty stomach every morning. Everyone is different.
