Who has done this? What was it like? I have had a return of symptoms, not all of them but it is alarming me, so I need to hit this PR again.
I am planning to try this protocol but I am extremely apprehensive. I always thought of Dr. K as the one to avoid the chemicals - going for natural - and here he is prescribing a HUGE amount of drugs!
I was having a side effect from ivermectin of making my eyes very blood shot, as though I had pink eye. I read in rare instances it can cause Conjunctival hemorrhage. It also gives me headaches.
So Dr. K's is prescribing literally 4 times what I was taking. My gosh. Do I dare?

I was doing really well but have had a return of some symptoms. I wish I could get rid of this for good but that is unlikely.

If you are concerned about the chemicals, maybe trying the salt/c along with antiparasitic herbs would be less invasive on the liver and the body in general. Thoughts?

I know we are not suppose to discuss doses, but, since it is posted, this is just my opinion,
but there is NO way I'd take 48 mg of Ivermectin in 1 day, let alone for 14 days in a row at that dose.
According to standard dosing for my weight, I am not to exceed 9 mg a day.
I have done long rounds of Ivermectin- JMO again, this drug has toxicity, and to exceed it that high in dosing.....no, I wouldn't.

I have repeated the protocol 3 times and am about to do it a 4th time. Because of weight loss, Iver dos was reduced a little recently. But yes, still a very high dose.
I saw great improvement with this and am not hesitating to do it again.
Daily coffee enemas were a huge help in being able to tolerate this protocol (which, surprisingly, was not all that difficult for me....and I have a hyper-infection. One would think it would knock me out, but no, did very well with it).

I saw a Dr. K practitioner and was told to take only 12 mg per day of iver along with pyrantel pamoate (gave me a sheet of paper that said Dr. K. protocol, 12 mg per day).
I've had two lyme specialists give me just 12 mg per day--they both had Dr. K protocol printed on a sheet of paper, but not at the high dosage as the link above suggests (misprint?). Maybe they took one 3mg pill 4x a day to equal 12 mg total.

I have been to the master himself. It is 12 x 4 per day.

Tammy, are you the only one that has dosed this high? Since you are only taking it for two weeks, it might not be so bad. Dr F is giving it at one quarter that amount but his patients are taking it everyday for years.
When you do coffee enemas do you get a caffeine surge? I cannot tolerate coffee at all. It is full of sulfur which I can't tolerate and the caffeine is too much for me. I don't get any caffeine at all.
I would hate for my cornea to hemorrhage again. It looked really scary and it hurt. I am currently only taking half what my body weight calls for and I also take a lot of breaks from it. Very on and off, only taking it when I have symptoms.

Ack -- I didn't know your cornea hemorrhaged!! Yikes, that's scary. It doesn't sound like this drug is for you. I would be super careful with it.
No, I am not the only one that has dosed that high. This has been his protocol for years. Regarding lower dose - I spoke with Dr. K in NY last month. He did say something about after initial treatment, continuing at a lower dose long-term (don't know the dose though).
Regarding coffee - No, I don't get a caffeine surge (strange, I know, but I don't). I have the sulfur issue too and the coffee enemas don't bother me at all.
I drink caffeinated tea with no problem, but I'm not good with caffeinated coffee.

I've dosed that high, normally just for about 5 days, but did it once for 43 consecutive days while also taking albenza.
I've also dosed twice that much for very short spurts (2-3 days). I did get blurry vision during that, and am not recommending it, particularly for those who have already had cornea problems from it.

Neff, I would be afraid of vision issues if I took it every day . I wonder if you used the cream version that does not go thru liver if it would work with less side effects?
Have you tried the liposomal artimisinin?
Have you tried albenza ? I am alternating albenza and ivermectin now and herxing . I also added Sovereign Silver , which increased the herx BADLY .
I do not think these organisms can be eradicated totally , so we have to find safe ways to keep them under comtrol and maimtaain the ability to function. I am literally in shock at the reaction my body has to parasite meds. Lyme disease should be renamed to "parasite disease ".
Also , have you researched DEC , or diethylcarbamazine ? Worth an investigation...

When I had that problem with my eyes, I took stromectol (ivermectin) with LipoPhos EDTA, and grapefruit juice, which probably really increased the effect. But I still won't take that high amount because I don't want to have that happen again.
I have also done the LipoPhos with Artemix and that is potent. I haven't done the liposomal artemisinin but I think what I used was similar.
I haven't heard of DEC and will look it up.
Basically I am not sick like I was before although I could get there again real quickly. These symptoms sneak up on me.

I did ivermectin 24 mg with zithromax for 1 week then I pulsed. Two/ three days on rest of the week off. I did once weekly colonix. Juicing, infrared sauna. I didn't have any side effects.
