YEP....Agree with Catgirl. PARASITES. Google parasite symptom list and you will see that allergies are on the list.
My allergies and severe asthma went away with parasite tx. The grit coming out of your eyes is part of the infection.

I use OTC allergy eye drops every day called "Zaditor" or "Alaway", they used to be RX. Work great for itchy, red, irritated allergy eyes. Before I got these drops I was struggling to wear my contacts.
I also take OTC Allegra. This spring allergy season has been especially rough and I ended up having to talk with my allergist/immunologist about treatment.
I now take an RX nasal antihistamine (not a steroid) called Astapro. This has really made the difference for me and stopped my constant symptoms.
If you try the OTC meds (Zyrtec & Allegra the best) for 2 wks and you are not seeing improvement, talk with your doc. There are RX alternatives that can help.

Got rid of MOLD in my house, and my Spring/Summer allergy symptoms significantly decreased.
Started using Copaiba essential oil topically, and suddenly was getting side-effects from the Claritin I was taking.
So I quit the Claritin, and the Copaiba seems to be working to control my itchy eyes/sneezing.
Copaiba is a strong anti-inflammatory (as strong as Prednisone, but without the risks of steroids) and anti-histamine.

Razzle, I recently finished my bottle of Copaiba (had to get it from France). I used it to rub over my lower back and coccyx area where I have a lit if pain. I also used some in the bath with a little Juniper for pain, sometimes with Himalayan salt added.
May I ask how you used it topically, whether you diluted it etc?

I am getting allergy drops from my LLMD--you take these sublingually once a day. They are formulated to address your own range of allergies, based on skin testing. I'm sorry I don't know the name of this treatment--my doctor's office prepares the drops for me every couple of months.
I've been taking these drops for over a year, and this spring for the first time in 25 years I don't need an antihistamine. I'm even sleeping with the windows open, which is new for me!
I agree that long term, this problem must be related to parasites, and I continue to treat for these, though slowly.
