Hi all.
The last 10 days have been a lot of bone pain (on top of everything else).
But last night the bone pain from my knees down was so bad it made my teeth chatter.
I take 750 mg of elemental magnesium per day. And I have an epsom salts soak every night.
I have Arthrotec to take for pain but I find it is hard on my stomach with my abx.
I have broken bones in my foot-have for a few months-but the bone pain I'm talking about is worse than that-and up to my knees. I also have tendonitis on the non-broken side, but it was definitely not the tendons last night. Ouch.
Any suggestions? I was considering asking for Tramadol, but if I could avoid that I would prefer.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. It's not cramping muscles-it's deep in the bones of my legs.
Thank you [Smile]

Low Vitamin D can cause bone pain.

You can treat broken bones and tendonitis with PEMF, pulsed electromagnetic fields.
I use the SOTA Magnetic Pulser, and I also know of a vendor who sells a less expensive, homemade version.

Hi Carol,
Thanks for the tip on Vitamin D.
I will increase my supplementation to see if that helps.
Hmmm... Haven't heard of the magnetic therapy...something to look in to.

Thanks [Smile]

Stinging Nettle & Spirulina both seem to help deep pain for my body:

OUCH!!

I would up the Vit D and check into ReMag.. a highly absorbable magnesium. It is working wonders for me.

Also consider curcumin for pain.

Are you being treated for Bartonella? Sounds like you have that going on.

Bartonella can cause shin pain. Protomyxzoa can cause bone pain. If you test positive for bands 23 and 41, that points to PR. You should not be taking magnesium if you have it because it helps build the biofilm.

High blood calcium level will cause bone pain.
According to the parathyroid expert parathyroid.com

adults over the age of 35 I believe, should have calcium levels in the mid 9 range. Much good info there as this often doesn't get diagnosed.

Boy that sounds familiar.

Too much dietary calcium or supplements won't cause high blood calcium levels.

My calcium has been flagging high but it's not looking like it's related to the parathyroids.

I did find that the thyroid is also responsible for releasing calcitonin to lower your calcium blood level and get it back into the bones where it's supposed to be.

I feel for you as I've had the shin pain wake me out of a sound sleep. I've had bart treatment and shin pain from that but this was waaay worse.

I hope you find the cause and get relief soon.

Hi All!
Wow! Great tips from everyone! Thank you for your suggestions.
The bone pain last night was terrible.

I take Calm-the powdered magnesium. I mix it with a bit of water. Is that similar to Remag?

I was positive on the following bands in my IgM:
18, 41, 58, 66
IND on the following for IgM:
31, 83-93

Positive on the following band for IgG:
41
IND on the following band for IgG:
39

Still waiting for the results from an abx challenge...

Sorry, it's a bad brain day-I had to break the posts up.

That is interesting about the pm and the bart. I will ask my doc about these at my next appt.

Also interesting about the calcium levels causing bone pain...
I think I will ask for my calcium and magnesium levels to be tested also.

Stinging Nettle... just added it to the list when I go to the vitamin store next.

Normally the IR sauna really helps with pain, but it isn't touching this.

Thanks for your replies all, I really really appreciate the suggestions.

Just started my Tindi pulse today...hopefully it will help somewhat with the bone pain.

You should examine all your symptoms to try to determine which infection is causing the pain.

If you have pain strictly in the shins it is probably bart but Dr. S. told me ehrlichia can also cause shin pain. Bartonella specifically affects the skin. You can get pea size brown spots, crusty moles , white spots (loss of pigment), and streaks. You can also have swelling that appears to be edema but does not dent when you press it.

If it is protomyxzoa, some of the symptoms more specific to it are hoarse voice, nasal congestion and dry cough all of which comes and goes. You can have shooting nerve pain, joint pain, muscle pain and bone pain. It can also be in your jaw or your teeth.

If you have treated borellia and no longer have 28 day flares indicating an active infection, but your CD57 is low, that also points to protomxyzoa. You have band 41 positive so you might have it.

It also causes profound fatigue, air hunger, brain fog, depression, which makes it easily mistaken for babesia. Unlike babesia you do not oversleep because it causes insomnia so you might think it is bart.

It can bring on auto immune diseases, like Hashimoto's, MS, RA and even ALS.

So if there is any question you might have it, get tested at F Labs in AZ. If you continue to eat a diet high in fat, arginine and magnesium you will send it into overdrive.
The biofilm is extremely difficult to get rid of so you don't want to be building it with magnesium.

The chances of a mineral or vitmain deficiency causing extreme bone or muscle pain is very rare. When you hear the pounding of hooves, think horses, not zebras. You have lyme, so think of which infection is causing it.

Our LLMD diagnosed our daughter's longbone (shin and forearm bone pain) as bartonella. Sometimes so painful that she that she couldn't walk and had trouble writing. She tested positive for bartonella, negative for all other coinfections, although I know that doesn't rule them out. Rifampin, and abx used for treating bartonella pretty much resolved the pain. She does herx a little when I increase her houttuynia (Buhner/Zang herbal for bartonella) too quickly. Oh, yes, and she did also have shin/bone pain herxes from tindamax and A-Bart as well.
