Well, its a tough to have to deal with both, but in my experience, I had to treat the cancer. What type of cancer are you concerned about?

There are ways to support the immune system through cancer treatment. Many hospitals now have integrative cancer care programs that offer supportive therapies, naturopathic support, nutritional support, and others.

I was 3 years into undiagnosed, debilitating Lyme disease, when diagnosed with breast cancer. I didnt know how I was going to get through it with incapacitating fatigue.

The hospital I went to had an integrative program, where I was treated by cancer specialists (surgeon, oncologist, radiologist), as well as an ND with a cancer specialty. There are many out there who can help.

A book I found helpful and closely related to my NDs support is How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Michael Murray, ND. It may be available at your public library.

Do you have a LLMD? They should be able to help coordinate with your cancer treatment plan.

People who have cancer can be all kinds of people with other health conditions at the same time. Doctors and naturopaths and LLMDs can help coordinate with the care.

In my experience, cancer had to be dealt with, the sooner the better. Im now a very grateful 10-year survivor.

Wishing you the best.

i'm reading about lymphedema...and it doesnt sound good.

it makes me wonder how it will work-if they take my lymph nodes and that happens to me...

my nodes are already so sore and i blame it on bart...what will happen now

i hope i am not opening a bees nest having the cancer out...i hope they are right that it IS cancer and really needs to come out cuz this sounds like the beginning of a bad time...

i dont get how it can be beneficial to take all lymph nodes out when this is what they do:

The lymph nodes are small, fibrous capsules that act as "filters" for the body. The internal workings consist of spongy reticular connective tissue filled with lymphocytes, which collect and destroy bacteria and viruses.

so when they are out the bacteria and viruses can run rampant???

Have you tried coffee enemas and juicing yet (Gerson Therapy)? Coffee enemas do a good job of cleaning toxins out of the body.

There's no way I can do much now and the house is no and the house is not wheelchair friendly I do have red route tea and would be able to make that to try to get the cleaned out before the lumpectom

I don't see any clear past post from you regarding a diagnosis of cancer - looking at your posting history.

Not sure if you've gotten any positive cancer tests at this point and not sure about where the lump is to be removed, under the arm? Is there a history of breast cancer? Or this is out of the blue, the swollen lymph nodes the only clue?

I had two lumpectomies (one in each breast) and that turned out to be just fine. No cancer at all. Often, the cysts are benign.

Although the surgery was deep, I actually even taught a speech class the very next day. One hour was my max but it really was not that long until I was back on my bicycle.

I hope that turns out the same for you, regardless of where the lump is. Benign is a nice word. And cysts or lumps, anywhere, are most often benign. Hope so, for you.

If at all possible, I hope you can get a naturopathic doctor on your team, before the surgery is to be scheduled.

What is the date for the procedure?

Just a guess here, but neither one do well in an oxygenated environment. That could mean taking H2O2, etc. I am not a doctor, so can't say exactly what to do, but am presenting the concept.

Also, both thrive in an acidic environment, so it could mean eating a more alkaline diet, and doing things to make your system more alkaline.

ty

keeb i had a lump sow up on mamm. they biopsied it and it is invasive ductal carcinoma. a breast cancer that spreads. it is not aggressive(fast preading ) and does respond to meds thay give you(chemo, radiation, hormones)

the next step is breast mri to see if there are moer spots. i couldnot do that. i dont know what the next step is. the mri would decide if lumpectomy or mastectomy is next.

at surgery they will take out some lymphnodes and look for cancer. if they see cancer they take all nodes and i have high chance of dealing with lymphedema that scares me more than the cancer.

i also wonder what happens to ppl with chronic illness when they take out lymph nodes..how does immune system work

i am scheduled for lumpectomy next week but since i couldnt do the mri i dont know what will happen.

mlg...can you name the things you would take: probiotcs/ sbc? nystatin? diflucan? what else...paud'arco

im not thinking right. trying to get over this morning

There are herbal protocols for cancer, and also an essential oils protocol.

I know a lady who had 3 forms of very aggressive cancer, and the doctors didn't know what else to try (nothing was working). So she went to a clinic that used essential oils and she was in remission in 2 weeks.

And there is also a vegetable juice/diet protocol for cancer that has proven effective in 2 friends of my Mom's.

These protocols won't destroy your immune system like the regular pharmaceuticals.

i just ordered "How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Michael Murray, ND. It may be available at your public library."

i am taking red root tea-about a cup a day and paud'arco a cup a day and probiotics and sbc

might be overkill on some but even tho my gut pain has not been severe comparedd to other pain when i had an abd ultrasound she saw the bowel as gassy and inflammed...it didtn hurt that much but i had gained 5.2 lbs over night b4 going. was too tired to make supper the nite b4 and had popcorn..gmo free organic popcorn with pink salt...but still...

there are other minor sx but the combo is making gyn and gi doc think of colon cancer...so im thinking if it is yeast i better zap it and also help the nodes

i dont feel better or worse but do feel tired esp in the middle of the day and that is different for me...altho it has been coming on these last few months

im also having a real hard time with my left eye and left frontal headache (i never have headaches )

and the nest night after eating a few spoons ov ice cream...i lost 5.8 lbs ?????

anyway-the best thing that has happend is i hired 2 lna's-young, energetic, food at following directions, will clean and garden etc and work together if i eve need a shower...i am so happy about this.

too tied now-but wanted to share a positive...

thx cotton-that is my fear...lump after lump. i so just want them both OFF! they did their job-kids are healthy(altho one transferred lyme but i guess i cant blame her)

my arthritis is so bad i cant put a bra on and if i ever get back on a horse they are a pain.

my doc refuses mastectomy cuz if "standard of care" i hate that phrase after all i know about lyme. but my plan is to follow thru with him for first lumpectomy on thursday and then research possibility of double mastectomy in future.

i do know that in US rate of dx and cure is huge compared to other places...so i am more apt to be good and do what the doc says on this. but not totally.

my biggest concern is lymphedema...how did you do with that? and how was your lump found? regular mamm or mri or something else?

i have found really good sites 0ne on lymphedema and other on breast cancer.

there is such a differecne in the organization and presentation of info when it is a respected dx as opposed to lyme

thank you for replying...please keep in touch

Hi
I would try to work with your LLMD. They thought I had breast cancer before. They gave me zithromax and bacterium. Plus German product called itires to detox the lymph nodes then they gave me lymphomyosot injectibles also German product. I was also pulsing art and crypto at the time. Also would juice about 3-4 days a week. Things like cucumber green apples, spinach, celery, beet, carrots. Lemon water, swallowed raw garlic pieces in AM. The swollen lymph nodes resolved. But from time to time they flare. I would check with your LLMD but Dr K and Dr F are now saying that you need to treat worms first then Protozoa, etc.
Take care

im confused...who thought you had breast cance? did they decide you didnt? did they tx you with this other stuff instead of txing breast cancer?

my lump was biopsied and they are telling me they know exactly what kind of cancer it is. they dont know if it spread to lymphnodes or beyond...we find out thursday

im confused what you are saying. i know of cases where brain tumor turned out to be lyme and rotator cuff surg didnt help and was lyme...but i didnt think there was a question about this being breast cancer since the results were so clear

I don't know of any herbs or anything but I've recently begun taking PectaSol C detox for heavy metals detox and if you look it up, a lot of the claims are that it is used for cancer. Sorry you are going through this.

Here they inject this blue dye /tracer close the lump, and see which lymph nodes the dye travels to. Often it does not even do that. They take out the lymph nodes where the blue dye went.
Like in http://ww5.komen.org/breastcancer/lymphnodestatus.html
Alternatively they must use the spect MRI?

A long time ago they took out all the lymph nodes, but that is barbaric

Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :

Today he said he would do that with the dye. Also said i might sleep in hosp tmorrow night after lumpectomy

Thank you all for help hope im not gone long

im baaackkkk...for awhile . i got the blue die. it wasnt fun. but it was easier than the earlier procedure. my lump is tiny but way in deep...in the middle so long what to go with the instruments

and the dye did its job...he only took one...and it was neg...but there will be more tesing before final result monday...then it could go a few different ways

they tried the mri but i couldnt do it because or ortho problems
