If your child is seeing Dr. J in Conn would you please take a moment and PM me your child's abx regimine? With dosages.

I am in Texas and was able to get the ER clinic to perscribe amoxicillin for my 9 year old who is 85 lbs, but am afraid it is not a high enough dosage. He has not had a herx yet, started abx 4 days ago. He was bitten on July 4, 2013.

We are going to see a Dr next week who treats children with lyme, do not know if she is considered an LLMD, so we will see. I would like to have a good idea of what Dr. J perscribes so I can go in knowing what to ask for.

On page 18 of Dr. B's Treatment Guidelines at
http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf he recommends:

*Amoxicillin-
Children: 50 mg/kg/day divided into q8h doses.

I hope you get responses from parents and that the doctor your son sees is knowledgeable. I wonder if Dr. J. could consult with her?
