So I remember getting bit by a tick when I was around 8 (i'm 26 now)

It's so weird but I got an unexplained rash on the back of my neck exactly where I remember getting bit by the tick when I was 20, lasted a couple months and went away.

My question is, can you get the rash from a tick bite years later or does it always show up right away?

You just recently got the rash?? I've heard that can happen, but you could also have been bitten again.

Either way, you need treatment. Many here never had the benefit of a rash.

I got an EM rash in 2002.

It lasted for about ten days, went away.

Two weeks after I got a full body spotted rash.

I was diagnosed (mis diagnosed) as guttate psoriasis.

I have had that rash on my entire body since 2002.

A month into abx for lyme (treatment with an LLND), the rash is gone. First time I haven't had it since 2002.

Lyme rashes and rashes from other TBD's can be any shape size texture or color.

Mine happened to be raised red spots. Bartonella sometimes causes streaky looking rashes, like stretch marks, and RMSF can cause spotty rashes.

Just an example. Also, one can have a TBD and have clear, perfect skin. Majority of people DON'T have a rash with a TBD.

Best to see an LLMD or an LLND about this, so they can do an assessment.

Also, take a picture of the rash if you can.

Best wishes [Smile]

Yes, I've heard many say they got later rashes from what they think were earlier tick bite exposures.
