My hair used to be fine, but I had lots of it and it was thick. Now, it is super fine and looks like I only have half the hair I used to have. I don't see it falling out.
I feel very close to remission with lyme & co but still have parasites.
This is devastating and really stressing me. Should I see a dermatologist?

Biotin and biotin shampoo....

randi, did you have a dramatic difference with the biotin products?

This has been a problem for me too. Although my hair is no longer falling out, I lost a lot of it early on and most of it has not grown back. Biotin has not helped, other than to maybe prevent additional loss. Would love some other suggestions.

yep, sure did. i take two small biotin capsules a day and i use organix thick and full biotin shampoo and conditioner.
i saw a big difference with the first shampoo.
my hair is thinning so that you can see the big part in my scalp.
and here's a tip. i ordered signature club a hair concealer. it's a powder and you simply put it on your part when you go out. you can't see the bald areas at all.
now i only use it when i go out, not all the time, but it certainly works!! my hair is medium brown with graying so i ordered the dark brown. cost about umm 25 bucks or so. it's amazing, won't be without it now. oh and it washes out.
the shampoo you can find at wallie world. runs about 4.74 i think. comes in a round purple bottle.

Despite normal labs it was hypothyroidism for me in addition to adrenal fatigue.

Some reasons why this can happen:
medication any illness infections chemicals thyroid gland autoimmune disease heredity anemia stress/anxiety to much Vitamin A low B vitamin And many others..........
These also can cause it-dyes, chemical treatments, bad brushes, blow dryers, and flat irons
I've lost a dramatic amount of hair. It is depressing to think about. My dermatologist says that it is due to the state of my health, that my body is too ill to support my hair.
I take tons of biotin and b complex and it has done nothing to stop the loss. I also bought expensive shampoos.
The only thing that has helped is a supplement called viviscal. Someone here had mentioned it maybe last year and I finally decided to try it. It is the ONLY thing that has stopped my hair from falling out and I see some is finally growing back now.
