I wonder how many people get paranoia. I thought this symptom was gone for me, but it seems to be back.

Do you get this and if so, which infection do you relate it to?

Certain Rx can cause this, especially some sleep & mood altering drugs / antidepressants. Some pain meds can, too (if they stress the liver / kidneys) or alter senses.

And/or

ANY infection that is neurotoxic and also stresses the endocrine system & causes inflammation can do this.

While it's sorted out, be sure to include LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT. ADRENAL SUPPORT and a good antioxidant blend that can help reduce inflammation.

If the inner ear is involved, that can also lead to these kinds of symptoms because one's world can be sort of tipped on its ear, so to speak, in so many ways with "sensory warp" of sorts.

Take care.

Oh Haley, so sorry! I hate this symptom!

I think Babs because when my load was high, I had this symptom nearly all the time. Now all my Babs' symptoms come and go, including this one.

Bart gave me extreme anxiety when I first started treating it. I guess that could be considered fear with paranoia, so don't rule out Bart.

What are your other symptoms?

I think it's Babesia or proto

mlg, what is proto?

Haley,I think (my opinion) any of the infections can cause inflammation in the brain, so...

And yes, these symptoms were vary bothersome to me.

Got help from treating the infections with antibiotics/anti-yeasts and Beyond Balance herbs (LLMD), and adding herbs on my own to combat the inflammation.

The herbs I use for inflammation in my brain and to balance the immune system and improve mood are:

Fish Oil
Japanese Knotweed
Green Tea
Eleuthero
Rhodiola
Ashwagandha

I also take vitamins and minerals, and probiotics.

sometimes I think paranoia is healthy when you're dealing with lyme...I don't doubt the conspiracy people anymore I think they are just aware

Boxer Mom. If you took a picture of me it would look exactly like your icon - hahahahaha. I have severe cognitive issues, but the fear is a different type of feeling. I become very confused and scared. What are you taking for Babs?

I agree with many that it is Babs or similar infection. My cognitive issues get better with Mepron, I'm not sure about the fear issues. It's definitely physical and not psychological. I can feel it coming on, my head starts to swell (if that makes any sense).

Haley,

I don't know if you're still on Ivermectin, but the only time I ever felt this way was on that drug.

Haley you described it perfectly. It is totally physical. Like that emptiness in your chest and lump in your throat right before a test or public speaking event.

It comes in a wave for me. I'm all fine and mellow, then I'm nervous as he11, then I'm practically freaking out. "Is my treatment working? Will I ever get better? Will I be this way forever? What about all the money? How will I ever earn it back? Oh NOOOOOO!!! I'm DOOOOMED!!!!"

Yeah I think it's Babs.

I have taken everything for Babs. Mepron was by far the best til I became resistant. Currently Malarone, Tindamax, Biaxin, herbs.

I'll do a Coartem pulse at the end of the month.

This is a very difficult pathogen to eradicate. My symptoms are minimal now, but start coming back within days of stopping meds.

It is just unreal.

We should start a Lyme Zombie club.

Rivendale,

There is a post here:
http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=125310;p=0

It is like Babesia and difficult to eradicate. I think it could be put to remission though.

When I was treating babesiosis, I got weekly flares. My doc said babs has a 7-day cycle and a 14-day cycle. I eventually experienced both.

During the weekly flares, I got a total sense of DOOM!!! I truly believed that I would always feel as horrible as I did then, nothing would ever change, etc.

I would try to use logic on my brain and say, "but you remember last week. It came and it went in 48 hours and by Sunday night, you were back to your normal self." But, during those horrible babs flares, logic didn't work on my brain.

So, I truly think this is babesiosis. Good treatment got rid of this symptom for me. When I reported these horrendous babs flares to my doc, he had me add artemesinin to encompass the flares. That really worked like a miracle for me.

Hope you can get rid of that zombie/doom feeling. I truly was a zombie during those flares. I didn't get up, move, talk, eat, go to the bathroom or anything. I was a total mental wreck until the flare passed. I will never forget it. It was one of the worst parts of my total lyme experience.

Thanks TF. I'm so glad to see that you are still here spreading the good news, that we can get well.

You definitely have experienced this symptom. I can tell by the way you describe it. It truly is the worst feeling.

baileypup - I'm not on Ivermectin currently.
