LLMD is hitting the Babesia heavily with Mepron, Bactrim, and some Artemisinin (albeit light on the Artemisinin thank goodness).

I have a VERY low amount of Borrelia B in my body but plenty of babs that never got addressed and rampant epstein barr.

Since I began treatment two weeks ago I am sick to my stomach, I am burning up body wise my skin feels like its on fire. Some increased brain fog. Overall malaise feeling, energy waxes and wanes but overall isn't very good. I feel like I am going to just be this way forever.

Are the symptoms I am experiencing normal? What has been your experience in treating babs (and list if you have epstein barr)

are weird heart palps part of babs treatment

All of these are Babs' symptoms. You are in for a tough ride, but you'll feel much better once your pathogen load comes down.

Yes, I also have EBV. That fatigue is nothing compared to Babs.

Yes!! But always let your Dr know since it could be from babs OR from the meds.

Anyone else?

Clint

I too suffer from a stubborn strain of babs with head pressure, fatigue, brain fog, muscle weakness, gut issues, and tingling and burning feet.

Weeks 5 thru 9 on my first round of Mepron were the worse. Then symptoms slowy improved.

My problem is whenever I stop Mepron the symptoms return quickly. I think I plateau at 80% and haven't found the the right combination to knock it out.

Your combo looks good. Maybe check out adding Buhner's recommended Sida Acuta and Cryptoleptis herbs once you stabilize.

Hang in there, its a tough battle.

Cryptolepsis helps me with the babs sweats and the heart palps and the air hunger.

I have ebv as well.

Hi Clint -

Just curious, was your babesia diagnosis from the LLMD doctor that I referred you to in our town? Or did you find another LLMD?

Ditto BoxerMom's post, and yes, I had similar symptoms and more.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to find a really good LLMD. Babs is wicked, and mine just got worse until I went to the best Doc I could afford (couldn't really afford it, but made it happen). Babs is/was by far my worst co infection (and I have a lot). Mine is almost gone. Hang in there.

is there a test for babs? I am pretty sure I have it, and tonight my daughter was telling me symptoms and the light bulb went off- "babs" for her too

There is but it's not very accurate (negative). A good doc will treat based on clinical symptoms.

Clint, I am NO expert, but what you said about burning made me remember something I just read. I never heard about babs making you feel burning, but bartonella yes. :

"How is putting out a house fire similar to eliminating a Bartonella bacteria infection?
People with a Bartonella infection can feel just like they are inside a burning house
People can get this disease from insect bites,

coming into contact with infected pet saliva, or being scratched by an infected animal. As a result of tick bites, many people with Lyme disease also get Bartonella.

They can have hot, burning, painful sensations in their feet, legs, arms, and/or hands. Other symptoms can include bouts of anxiety,

irritability, and/or suicidal depression. Unfortunately, this infection can be difficult to eliminate."

Clint, I tried to call you yesterday. I do want to talk to you.

I will be at work today until 11:30pm, but will be home tomorrow. Not sure when to call you. If you could tell me a time, I will be happy to call at that time.

I know but the testing I had showed no Babs/Cat scratch fever/ etc.

That's all I have to go off of.

The feeling that you are just going to be like this forever is what I call "babesiosis doom."

When my babs would flare during treatment, I believed that I would be that sick forever. And, there was no reasoning with my mind about it. It was a feeling of total DOOM!

It was horrible.
