Since I was little my mother would give us a spoon of white sugar, it stops hiccups
Maybe it takes 1-3 spoons
Try it

Quote:
A hiccup...is a sudden, involuntary contraction of the diaphragm...
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/181573.php

The diaphragm is a layer of muscle between the lungs and the upper abdomen.

The article does NOT report this:
Lyme causes low magnesium, as the bacteria live in our muscle and nerve cells and use the magnesium.
Low magnesium can cause muscle twitches and spasms.

All the enzyme processes in the cells need magnesium, and when the mag is depleted, we have lots of problems.
So, you might get a tic, or muscle twitch, by your eye, or muscle spasms in your neck or back, causing pain.
Or hiccups.
