I see no other reports on this in archives. Lyme ticks in Eastern Europe and Western Russia now carrying encephalitis. Unconfirmed reports say thousands have died. High fever and death soon follows. I'll send links to this news to anyone who wishes to explore.

I'm especially concerned as about a half dozen (that I've read of) mysterious deaths have occurred since Labor Day in the US of Lyme tick bites followed by high fever then death within days.

Not to spread major worry but are Lyme ticks carrying deadly diseases about to turn into the Plague the world has feared would some day appear? All who died were teenagers to early 20's which is the age group most susceptible to encephalitis (I read).

Test in my county showed 99% of "Lyme-prone ticks" (the smaller ones I suppose?) from the head of a deer killed by the CDC were carrying Lyme, malaria, babesia and Bartonella. Up from 1% in 1995. No encephalitis or they didn't announce it. Concerned.

Encephalitis is not an infection itself.

It means brain swelling and can be caused by a number of infections that reach the brain.

The infections you have listed will all cause encephalitis. Bartonella was the cause of our daughter's meningitis-like symptoms.

People seem to be becoming more and more susceptible to these infections whether because of poor nutrition, underfunctioning or over-reacting immune systems caused by many multiple vaccinations, changes in the virulance of the infections themselves, or immigration of new species.

There are so many unknown species of bacteria and viruses. Modern medicine thinks it has everything under control with allopathic health care/vaccinations, they don't have a clue that the pandemic is already here. They just keep chalking symptoms up to "psychiatric disorders".

Tick borne virus, bacteria is the cause, encephalitis is a symptom.

We have a virus here in europe, TBE

TBE tick born encephalitis = FSME Fruhsommermeningoencephalitis in German.

Many people get vaccinated where I live (in Switzerland).

Literally everybody knows about it in Switzerland. Many campaigns for vaccinations here.

The number of infected people is growing every year. I live in the 'red' area (very infected).

It is a very serious infection, and it kills or handicaps many people in very short time (in about 2 weeks or 3 after infection).

It's not like borrelia, that grows slow, and it doesn't really kill you fast, normally.

My daughter had FSME, and it was THE most awful infection from a tick she ever got. Progression of the disease is exactly as expected, symptoms get worse every day until 2 to 3 weeks, when it goes away, either leaving you with life long damage or not.

It's a virus. There is no treatment in conventional medicine, except for vaccinations. Or pain killers, when infection starts.

Once you caught it, you are supposedly immune to it.

Does the vaccine work well, without side effects? Do you know if only ticks carry/transmit this virus?

Also, w0tm, 99% ticks infected in KS?! I thought only very near Plum Island has that kind of stat.

Never ever I would vaccinate my child again, if I am not forced to.

No matter how dangerous the disease, I find ANY infectious disease MUCH easier to deal with, than ill effects of vaccinations, for which I know no proven efficient treatment to correct the damage, once done.

I'd rather treat babesiosis, malaria, borrelia, HIV, whatever with any method whatsoever, than give any well proved vaccination to her.

Living with allergies and immune disorders FOREVER is not fun, and vaccinations will anyway weaken her immune system long term forever (so all new infections will get problematic to fight against).

> There are strong complications from the vaccine. Some countries even pulled out FSME vaccinations because of that. Long term studies about efficiency are poor.

This is the link where patients that got vaccinated describe the kind of problems they got from vaccinations. Quite scary as some do get meningitis and many sorts of neural and infectious problems, including many hospitatalizations.

If I understood well, the more I read, I think some people just catch the FSME infection as their symptoms are much too similar to symptoms of FSME after a tick bite! Pretty serious effects.

That's for the people who are being sent through a company or school or Embassy etc.

Lucky for them ,they have a chance [confused] [Cool] [Eek!]

Just don't take the risk of FSME vaccinations. If someone stays for short term, just use repellents!

I live in the worst area for FSME for the last decade, I do not use repellents, get bitten about 2-5 times a year, and never caught it so far.

My daughter, though caught it. It is scary (the scariest experience we've got), but I am still more scared of the vaccine!!!

At least, you know that, if in 3 weeks you didn't get symptoms, you are probably free from it.

There may be chronic FSME, but I know nothing about it. It is the acute form that is pretty dangerous, but as it lasts about 2 - 3 weeks, once you are off that period, you are safe, I suppose.

The infection progressed exactly as expected, after tick bite, for my daughter. It increased in the first 10 days, getting worse and worse, then after about 3 weeks, she had nothing, just a worn out body from fighting encephalitis.

It is very different from lyme (borrelia, I mean).
