I've been reading a lot about different parasite treatments. I've been stocking up on the Dr. K protocol. I should be ready to do rounds for a year by December.

It looks however, like salt-C has been the most effective treatment -PERIOD- for not just parasites but Lyme as well. Of all of the people that have gotten better, Salt-C folks seem to have the best track record of actually getting to remission.

This is just a feeling I am getting from reading various boards. Not any kind of scientific study. So nobody hold me to this. I'm just going by what I hear.

It seems like most ABX people wind up trying something else that gets them to remission. Some have reached remission with high dose abx and solid supplementation, but they don't seem like the majority.

Is salt-C really that effective? Another reason I am starting to come around to it is that, really, no one has anything to gain from promoting it. Why would someone hype something that can be taken freely from the earth if there's no profit involved? Because it works and they want folks to know. No one is raking in cash from promoting salt consumption. It's as cheap an option as there is.

I'd like to hear from anyone who hasn't done well with it.

What type of Vitamin C is best to take with it? Can you use a standard supermarket C? Liposomal (that gets expensive and is pretty gross)? Powders?

I'd really like to hear a bit more on the subject. I know theres a few decent threads here that go into it, but it is mentioned in so many different threads that it's hard to track down what I'm looking for.

Salt-C did nothing for me. Did it for a few months.
I don't put any stock in it for Lyme, sorry.

As far as profit goes, there is someone who sells a book about the protocol.

I think it definitely is beneficial for parasites. I am not sure if it cures other things.

However, if someone is having difficulty with parasites and salt/c rids him of that infection, then the immune system is free to fight off the other infections.

It is imperative that the immune system kick in. That is where the cure comes from.

VV, thank you, I want to hear from everyone on the subject. ESPECIALLY those it didn't work on.

I took it for about 7 months and was at 1 tsp twice a day. I think my Lyme was pretty beaten down from long-term IV prior to trying it for the second time, and I was treating Babs and other parasites along with ABX and Buhner herbs.

I saw no significant improvements so I stopped a month or so ago to simplify my regimen. I may start up again later this month when I do my first round of parastroy, before deciding next round of ABX and/or herbs.

Chiming in on a more postive note for salt/c, it was the protocol along with antiparasitic herbs that saved my life and was a game changer for me.

Did 4 yrs of abx, incl 6 mos of IV Rocephin and was still sick. I believe that the combo of salt/c and herbs packs quite a punch against these pathogens.

I did 4tsp (20gms) in divided doses (scaling up very slowly)per day over several yrs. I am only 5'3 and 120lbs. Not saying everyone has to go that high, but it's what really worked for me.

I only do 5gms a day now, because that's all I need. I do think that ramping up slowly and following the salt/c plus book and going to higher doses could be key.

Just my two cents.
