Are these relatively safe to try in dosages as listed on the bottles? Do they work? I see most of them have great reviews online.
I have tried so many things for fatigue already (licorice, eleuthero, ashwagandha, caffeine) even Cortef at one point. I have all the signs of adrenal fatigue. I am barely able to function and I completely crash to the point that I've lost consciousness/fainted mid-day MANY times. I can prevent it if I lie down, but I don't always have that opportunity.
I really don't have any medical help right now and in general I'm against being on medications anyway so I need to find OTC things to get by. I am able to make my own Lyme treatment plan (herbs) and will continue with that, but I need symptomatic treatments to get by at this point since it's been many years of treating Lyme.
I'm generally not too concerned about risks because I already feel incredibly sick all the time but I do have some concerns about BSE (Mad Cow).

If Cortef didn't do anything for you I doubt glandulars will. In many ways it's just a low dose OTC Cortef. My 2ยข.

Cortef helped me significantly. I no longer have a prescription though.

Well, maybe it would work then.

Have you tried NADH?
Have you tried Vitamin B12?
Have you tried DHEA?
How much Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) do you take daily?
How much Vitamin C do you take daily?
The combination of B5 and Vit. C stimulates and feeds the adrenal glands...to the point that it can give you Prednisone-like side-effects if you take enough for a long enough time...
How 'bout Nutmeg essential oil?
Also, have you had your thyroid evaluated?

I have tried B12, DHEA, Vitamin C, not B5 specifically.
Of all supplements and OTC products especially things like Vitamin C and magnesium, I can literally take tons with no effects. So vitamin C I'd say I probably consume 3000-5000mg and magnesium 2000-3000.
My thyroid was borderline hypo. I was on Armour for a while then I went off and my TSH stayed in the normal range 1.5 so I never went back on.
