Anyone had problems with their spleen with these infections?

Anyone have their spleen removed while infected?

Has anyone seen any studies or papers on asplenic (sp?) patients with lyme and co?

Thanks [Smile]

Splenomegaly (enlarged spleen) is definitely seen with Babesia. The infected red blood cells clog up the microvasculature.

I'm sure all RBC infections do this. Probably others, too. We know Bart creates a fibrin layer in the blood vessels.

How do we circulate at all?!!

Treat the infection(s). Try to keep your spleen.

Has a doctor suggested splenectomy?

Oh, and take something to break up biofilm and fibrin. Lumbrokinase, nattokinase, Wobenzyme, any systemic enzymes on an empty stomach.

Red root is the herb used to protect the spleen. See Buhner protocol and books for more info.

The spleen is specifically involved in clearance of babesia infections. One of the 2 things that killed my husband was a splenic infarction (blood clot in the spleen). This is a documented rare complication of babesia infections.

When babesia was first discovered they thought only patients without spleens could become symptomatic.

If it were me I'd be doing Ozone funneling over the spleen daily. Ozone gas can penetrate the tissues and kill pathogens. I have proved this to myself by treating ilitius in the cecum area of my colon through topical applications of ozone. It got rid of all pain and inflammation and swelling. It works.

Thanks everyone.

Yes just when I think I'm going uphill things start going downhill.

Doc can feel my spleen. Bloodwork again in 2 weeks. Ultrasound in 4 weeks to see what the status is.

I really really really don't want to have problems with my spleen.

I have red root-I'll be taking it more regularly for sure.

Thanks everyone.

Reading about Bart in Buhner's book.

B. Elizabethae, B. Clarridgeia, B. Koehlerae, B. Rochalimae, B. Clarridgeiae, are all mentioned for causing spleen inflammation and spleen issues.

Boxermom-would serrapeptase work? It is all they carry at my nearest health food store?

Posted by Carmen (Member # 42391) on :

I had been on serrapeptase for over two months before I had my dark field live blood analysis and before I knew I had lyme. My test revealed candida intermingled with lyme biofilm... so off hand I would go for something else if it were me. My doc put me on marcozymes, which are high powered digestive enzymes to be taken well between meals. I can pm you on how to get them if you are interested.

Yes, Bart can hit the spleen as well.

I'm sorry Greta, hope it's okay.

Enzymes like Wobenzyme are in the local stores here...

Thanks Carmen and Surprise about the tips on enzymes.

Yes I am worried about this latest development.

Of course, now any twinge or pain in that area has my instant focus. Haha.

There is a huge health food store about an hour drive from me. I will phone them for wobenzyme.

I have hepatosplenomegaly. The Gastro Dr blames it on my fatty/inflamed liver...but I disagree. My pancreas is also inflamed.

I'm right there with you concerning the fear of RUQ pain. The slightest twinge causes me to "What if" my way to a liver/spleen/pancreas-ectomy.

Laxmom-yes exactly. It's either Bart or Babs, probably both! Causing these problems.

I am trying to get some documents in order, so if something happens, tissue from my spleen is sent to a couple private labs, for testing, as well as the BCCDC here. (Although I know what the results from the BCCDC labs will say, which is why the private labs as well.)
