Thru a lab called AnyLabNow one can get Elisa testing done and a western blot is sent out as well. I was told the western blot goes thru CPL who then submits it to Sunrise Medical Labs in NY ?!? The only reason I ask is because you do not need doctor orders to have this testing done.

The ELISA may or may not work. You need to find out if they run the Western Blot if your ELISA is negative. Some labs enforce the CDC 2 tiered test criteria.

If they send out to SunRiseLab for the Western Blot, there is good news and bad news. The good news is SunRiseLabs uses Imugen. Imugen actually does 2 Western Blots with 2 strains of Bb. That can be a good thing.

They use Bb strain 49736 and G39/40 since 49736 is a OspA mutant. This helps them sort out people who were vaccinated.

They also will provide a copy of positive Blots. This is a very good thing. Make sure to ask about this.

The bad news. This is the NIH Adriana Marques pet lab. I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her. That being said, I believe Imugen is a good lab and the dual strains might up your odds.

They are the one offering the GlpQ ELISA for B miyamotoi and were the ones who found it for the recent NEJM with Peter Krause.
