Cheaper on Amazon, but the above link comes with a free interview.

I really like Dr H, but he is way too busy for new patients I've heard, so not sure HOW I would get someone to prescribe the treatments he talks about in the bok......

Also ordered it through Amazon (hard copy) through Lymenet link

(doesn't that help Lymenet operating costs?)

Most of the docs I've seen get their egos bruised when you mention another doc. That said, in the lyme world, anyone with a brain knows who doc H is. When he speaks at a seminar, EVERYONE listens (at least, IMO, those with brains do). It doesn't take more than a couple of minutes to recognize that the man is a genius.

Doc H actually wrote the book to help docs, so I would give a copy to your doc. First tell your doc that Doc H has had success with his new mapping detection system which helps to identify issues for anyone with chronic illness.

His MSIDS map is helpful for other forms of chronic illness as well (autism, ms, cfs, fibromyalgia, etc). Tell your doc that you would like to try X (whatever it is you find in the book that resonates with your issues), and why.

Yes, I think Dr H has done a good job bridging the gap between just "Lyme" and the many other "overlapping" diseases. Looks like a good book.

Yes, his office is VERY overloaded right now which is super frustrating. There has been talk about Dr. H getting a partner, and I hope he does it sooner rather than later.

I love going to him and his office staff, but I think they are taking on WAY more than he can handle. Existing patients are kind of getting the short stick.

With that being said, I am very excited with his new book coming out. I pre-ordered it a long time ago and will be reading it as soon as I get it. I'm hoping this book will be a great conversation starter. I know many physicians in my area who have pre-ordered it as well. Baby steps!

re: the "many physicians in my area who have pre-ordered . . . "

That's great to hear.

Hopefully, they will then be interested in going through ILADS Physician Training Program, linking with an LLMD mentor, and beyond. Wouldn't that be marvelous? We sure need more, everywhere.

I just ordered the book today. Looking forward to it. Sorry that ILADS did not stream the conference this year. The past two years, I have found his presentations chock full of good information. And it will be good to have it in book form so I can "pause" to assimilate. But, my, oh, my, what an enthusiastic and caring presenter.

I agree, Keebler! I can rewatch ILADS presentations over and over again and learn something new each time! I do hope that one day they will return to the live streaming of the entire event.

Katie Couric TV program interviews two doctors & patients

Chronic Lyme Disease - Oct. 9, 2013

Two clips - notice the huge difference between the ILADS doctor (author of the book above) and the IDSA doctor

-(general comment for those who are new to all this) . . . but one may not be able to catch the serious errors from the ID doctor in the interview. This is why it's good to have an ILADS LLMD. They know far more about lyme.

Amazon shipped my two. Wish I had the money to order more and give them out to my doctors who tried to think "out of the box"
but couldn't or wouldn't.
