Does anyone have any issue's with their visual tracking? I am not able to see cars move fluidly anymore. They appear to wiggle or jerk in my vision... I feel pretty alone in this symptom as it's very distressing for me and I haven't seen it mentioned before in the Lyme community.

When Lyme was less under control I had a ton of crazy vision issues.
Tracking items was a big challenge for me to - had to give up playing frisbee, catching ball, etc with the kids as I couldn't track them well enough to catch (or keep from getting hit
Another weird symptom is that I went completely red/green colorblind for a few months - I could put a bright red ball on the green grass in the yard and not be able to find it. Weird.
The good thing is that these mostly went away over time during treatment with Abx.

It's so tough and really frustrating. I was such an independent person before and now I have to rely on support for transportation.
I just hate living in the unknown and what if's. I could have been diagnosed earlier, but one of my 2nd neuro's dismissed my positive Elisa negative WB... I only got worse after that.
I also have static in my vision and trails. It's rough, but I know lyme can cause so many strange symptoms.

Yes, one of my first symptoms with reinfection was visual tracking issues.
I have difficulty following anything moving quickly on a TV screen or driving.
I'm haven't driven much because of this.
A couple people I know with Lyme have this too.

Wow, Judie that is great to hear... I mean great to know I am not alone in this symptom.
does it get better... or since you don't drive much does that mean it's still there?

Hi,
I got reinfected at the end of August.
Because of a craptacular local doctor who wouldn't give me anti-biotics, I couldn't treat til early October.
My neuro-issues this time around were insane. I felt like I was constantly tumbling down a hill even while laying down.
I REALLY noticed the visual tracking problems pretty early on. I just wasn't noticing things as quickly when I tried to drive or watch TV. I just couldn't follow the action.
During the first week of antibiotics, the "tumbling" sensation changed to just feeling dizzy, like when you get off a carnival ride.
Today, I just noticed that feeling is minimal and has been going down since then.
Mental processing is still on the slow side (visually and for just thinking through stuff), but I think has improved considering where I was at before.
Other people that I know who had the visual tracking problems had this symptom improve with antibiotic treatment too.
It doesn't seem permanent at least.
Two people I know got injured because of visual tracking (couldn't figure out where to put their feet or dodge things). Both got better though.
Good luck. It does feel rather surreal and it's hard to describe to others who haven't experienced it.

You may relate to some of these, even though it doesn't mention "visual tracking" which is what you and I are talking about:
- Nystagmus sounds likely, and it is a frequent issue from the toxicity of lyme - also the inner ear system is usually tied into nystagmus. Liver support & MAGNESIUM are big helpers while addressing lyme, and all that go with it.

I have the color thing too. On bad days, blue looks green. Purple looks red.
Driving quickly (ie highways vs puttering around town), is difficult on the bad days.
Things move faster than my brain can process it.
It gets better/goes away on the good days though.

Thank you all! That youtube video was the first I had seen before my tracking issues started, then I came across it afterward again hehe.
My inner ear dr thought nystagmus but when I recorded myself my eyes didn't move. He said it may be a very slight one that would require him to use goggles on me to record the eyes.
My dream is to get past this issue so I can drive and travel again. Fast moving cars look so weird .... Almost like cartoons on a racetrack or something and robotic.
