Refill date expired two days ago?

In my experience, generally no - have been there before and not had any success - particularly with antibiotics

I think they are fully in CYA mode

My experience is no also. Usually they will call the prescribing office.

No, [Frown]

They may loan you a week's worth depending on the type of prescription (bp meds, antidepressants), but won't fill the whole thing.

No but many will call the prescribing doc for refill auth.

All they have to do is call your doctor and the nurse will probably say go ahead. Tell them to call your doc.

As others have replied: no. Without a doubt, no.

I would call your doctor and have them call the pharmacy. Doctors' offices often require a day or two notice on refills or any prescription requests, depending upon their patient policy on this.

Otherwise, when you get to the pharmacy, you could be waiting all day for the doctor's office to return their call. They may only do such tasks at a certain time of the day.

All they have to do is call or fax your Dr.. then you will be set.

I assume you still have a "refill" (or 2) left?

If you're "current" with your doctor's office (no appoitments missed & in regular contact), just go down to the drugstore with the vial & explain.

A short call by the pharmacy to your doc's office (during normal office hours, anyway) will suffice.

Your doctor, or his/ her nurse, generally just FAX'es over a "fresh" script to cover the "missed" refill(s).
