..that sometimes travels down my cheekbone from my eye. It frightens me. I had been having scalp muscle twitching and numb front teeth for about a year....now this, which seems to be a progression of something. I guess I need to get back on abx.

Anyone have this symptom? What took it away?

BTW I do not have any root canals or amalgam fillings....

I had the same. I would do anti-malarials, then also ivermectin, albenza, alinia rotated maybe colonics or make sure you are detoxing.

In my case these symptoms were caused by babesia. Had Bell's Palsy in 2009. And return of symptoms were sign that I had to redo a round of anti-babesia drugs.

Another interesting moment -when I was on Rifampin IV - first herx was equal dying and second herx hit my sinuses and jaws, teeth I was literally banging my head on the table because of pain. So Mycoplasam was also probable cause of symptoms in my case.

Rifampin also hits babesia and bartonella, interesting.

Try antibiotic ointment on your face in the area of the problem.

I get new symptoms every year.

Pain radiating to teeth and jaw is Babesia for me. Sometimes just teeth pain, which is very weird. It feels like nerve pain and inflammation.

Jaw only (like super tight muscles) was Bart.

I agree with the antimalarials, antiprotozoans.

Yes to Art!

You could try combo of Art and GSE and see what response you get. Cryptolepsis, too.

Very common symptom of protomyxzoa.

I had this pain big time the few days I could tolerate rifampin. I also had it to lesser degree recently when I was on bactrim. I thought I was just clenching my teeth and didn't put two and two together til I saw your post.

Are you on anything new?

My head, chest and pelvis were completely numb back in 2002. Parasites were the cause for me. Parasites can disseminate and love the head and jaw area.

After tx with antiparasitics snd salt/c, I had small parasites exiting my nose amd mouth, and bunps appear on my scalp from the parasites pushing through and scabbing. I would get on antiparasitics ASAP. For me adding the salt/c was what made them exit and also leave my G.I. track.

They can't stand the salt because it puts them into osmotic shock and dehydrates them. Jaw clenching is a big symptom for parasites. Tx parasites, makes it much easier to go after the other co-infections because it exposes them.

I am on something new....HH2 capsules with nattokinase and Coptis and silver.

Just an update on this....I visited my chiro and told him about it. He said my jaw pulls to the right to compensate for my mild scoliosis, and did a couple of things to my jaw both inside and outside. Presto! no more pain.

I really appreciate all the help.

Kudos to your chiropractor for figuring something out!

I had a similar path of pain as you're describing above - ie, traveling down the cheekbone to my mouth.

So my chiropractor did some cranial work, holding my head in his hands while I lay down on my back, adjusting the skull bones slightly until he could feel pulses again, and my face pain disappeared!

This facial/dental pain stumped the dental school, so I am very impressed with cranial manual therapy at this point!

My chiro also showed me that there are three branches of the C5 nerve root that can travel across the face and into the jaw.

Something else for us to be aware of when we have facial/dental pain, that it might be skull bones slightly out of place.

He also pressed on sinuses next to the eyes and in the cheek area.

Maybe clogged up lymph? You can massage the lymph in your face and neck to drain it. I notice my jaw cracks and my incisors ache if my lymph gets sludgy.

That is wonderful news, CD57! [Smile]

I had the same problem though not sure which coinfection caused it.

I thought Rifampin was for Bart only.

CD57, I am glad for you.

I read the other day a biography of an osteopathic history. I can't find it right now. But found it interesting that it is used to align bones and breaks the cycle of parasites.
