Question about endocrine disruptors.

Do toxins which are endocrine disruptors, turn off the normal mechanisms and render them inactive permanently, or can time and detox restore their function?

Anyone know?

ps-referring to chemical disruptors, not microorganism like lyme.

Just stop exposures (petroleum in bathing products, plastics in foods, lined cans / cartons, scented products, etc.) and be sure nutrition is as good as possible.

Trying to detox petroleum can be very hard. And it can be a disaster for many, really. Just add in excellent nutrition and it will help set the sails straight again over time.

Of course, if this is for someone with lyme, it's important to work on the full picture with good liver support. But pushing "detox" can be the wrong way to go for some.

Their LLMD or LL ND should be directing ALL phases of their health care, or directing them to whomever is to do certain aspects, so they are all in concert.

Good food, water, movement that is just right for the person, massage, gentleness in all these things.

LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too.

For someone with lyme, a LL ND would be most appropriate to guide any "detox" methods. The "How to find a LL ND" links set in in this set, too.

If for a child who has lyme, the LIA (Lyme Induced Autism Foundation) is an excellent resource for all kinds of detox detail. Even for those who do not have autism, this group has great detail that will of help to all parents of kids with lyme, and even adults with lyme, et.al.

They know the professionals who are working best with nutrition and "detox" support methods, all the while also being LL.

They can also direct to articles and books, safe products and diet suggestions.
