I have another post out there but wanted to add this to it, but not at the bottom. Hence, a new thread about the same thing.
I just want to say that I believe this whole thing started due to an ingested toxin.
I am going back two years now. One night on the toxin he rose up out of bed, asleep(so it seemed) and walked to the door, and I think knelt down on the ground.
Then, a couple days later he had high energy and said the stuff was bad because it gave him too much energy.
It was stopped when his high energy was visible, prior to the above comment. He also threw up on the last night of taking it after coming back from a football game and supposedly "eating too much". He said to me that night "no more", and then I finally made the connection. Two weeks of it though had been given.
Then came the nightmares. He had nightmares for months. We would prey for good dreams or no dreams every night when we went to bed.
The bad dreams went away.
Then the short REM came with constant arousals throughout the night. Was it there with the nightmares, IDK.
Now I hear of songs he has before bed which he can't get out of his mind. He relies on lullabies to avoid the nagging, irritating ones. He wants all of them to stop.
I am trying to discern what part of this is chemical and what part of this is now phobic.
Adding anxiety from what he experienced into the mix of possible causes, or one of many causes, to get your interpretation of the possibility of this also being a factor.
WHAT A NIGHTMARE. Every night I grabble for peace but find none.

I feel the need to add this since the situation is so upsetting. it is the only thing that keeps me going.
I took a triple dose of what I gave him for two weeks. I had dry eyes but nothing else, a bit anxious but could have been psychosomatic. Also, I ingested a bottle of it in one sitting and only had diahrea. For a little while, that night I had a headache from stress I think.
I know it's not the same, but I'm hoping if it were really bad stuff and not GSE as it was supposed to be, it would have really messed me up.
Okay, back to the sleep issues.

- Exactly. If it was the GSE that caused the problems, then you would have reacted to it also... especially at such a high dosage.

2roads, I am a little confused on what you are going for- I think you beat yourself up for taking advice on the GSE,
can't let it go that this was a trigger, yet I see you asking about MMS protocol? It's not my business actually, but maybe a more simple step first-
Honestly, I never give advice here about children's healing, despite having a lot of experience with it, but I'll say this, gathered from your posts:
I think the safest, healthiest thing you could do/ take a step toward, is changing his diet. 100% gluten free, dairy free, no food dyes, no HFCS, very low sugar (fruits only)
This 1 change has netted the most bang for the buck in all the various children's issues I've encountered, and it's a win/ win.
I know it seems daunting at first, but it becomes a way of life, and once the 'addictive' foods are gone, it's amazing how healthy they will eat-
You could give it a real, 100% effort for 3 months and see what happens- and, it might even be fun, creating GF/CF whole foods-- and I bet it would help the sleep.

I'm trying Tutu...It's just something I wish I could figure out.
I feel like Marnie in this case, except really responsible.
No Surprise, I would NEVER do MMS. I am trying to get to the heart of what people are experiencing so no one else gets hurt. Believe me, it's not what it's cracked up to be, from what I am hearing.
I wish you were my neighbor so we could do some cooking together. My hubby is putting in a new stove top tomorrow. The other is spewing cleaning fumes from improper cleaning that damaged the surface. It's the gluten free that gets me. The others are easy...I think.

I agree with surprise. It's a no risk option.
Also, unfortunately, I don't think there's any one magic pill for our kids.
I think a lifestyle change has to occur too. Our kids are more sensitive to dyes, food additives, inflammation, etc.
It really does become a regular part of life rather quickly.
There are also so many options out there for gluten free products now, and there are even gluten free websites that will email you recipes daily.
Our friend has a son that is not sick, but becomes extremely hyper and restless. They were going to put him on ADHD meds until she finally linked it to red dye.
Once she eliminated that, he was fine. Sometimes, the answer can be so simple and we just never know until we really look hard at it.
She figured it out by keeping a food log. She documented everything he ate and it took about 2 weeks to get answers.
Maybe it's something to consider?

Okay guys.
I still need to do the sulfur testing that neff suggested. I don't know if I can start this diet thing and take that test or not. I am gonna order the test strips after I get money transferred onto my credit card. Likely, Monday.
But, tell me what you guys think. I can't do process of elimination, but rather can I do process of addition? I know that sounds cruel, but I would like to see if he gets better on the basics, and then add in. Plus I suck at cooking. A lot of what I get is organic hot food bar for dinner. It cooks like Mom used to, but all healthy.
This is what I had in mind. Keep all types of fruit, vegetables, and meat/chicken/fish and spices. Filtered water and gummy vites. Do only this for two weeks. Then add in gluten free items like bread, pasta, stuff like that. Then add in dairy. What do u think? My son will likely never eat another fruit or vegi again, and school lunch will be beyond interesting....Probably drop a few pounds, but he's solid.
Up for thoughts.
So glad I have you guys.
I still think it was that GSE, but maybe it changed something in his gut health. I know he said the only thing it did help was his tummy pain. Seems like he is also quite flatulent these days.
I am so sorry for all of our suffering. Kids are such a blessing, but when things go wrong, it can hurt so badly. All the would've, should've, could'ves can drop you off in hell.

There's a great magazine called, "Living Without", that has a bunch of different varieties of gluten free flour mix recipes.
I don't do grain anything BUT my family members do, and the flour mixes from the magazine work in darn near every recipe and always work great.
Every issue has the recipes in the back. You can get the flours from bulkfoods.
2Roads-you are such a caring mom-if half the moms were as caring as you...the world would be a much better place.

Thanks Greta for your kind words.
I just googled Living Without, and put in my email for a recipe a week. I would not be surprised if my coop carried that magazine. I will look for it, and perhaps subscribe if not.
I was reading some recipes, and many have dairy. I think I will have to pick and choose until I add dairy back in to see if it is a problem.
What do u think of my add in diet (as opposed to my elimination diet)? Is there anything else you can think of that could be incorporated first to add variety?

- I think it's a great idea. Good job!

Thanks Tutu.
Doesn't sound too harsh?
He also drinks a lot of liquids. He doesn't have diabetes, Doc J checked. Trying to reduce liquids to work on night time bed-wetting.
He's sporting a regular cough these days. Just came off a zpac due to red throat. Culture was negative. I don't know if it is habitual, a possible allergy, or something else. I'm hoping diet might help this too.

There is nothing harsh about eating vegetables and proteins, with a few fruits thrown in for good measure!
That is the way I roll .. minus the fruits. I still have candida... but I'm getting better.
