I see my LLMD tomorrow morning. It was just brought to my attention by someone that my local hospital, GBMC, offers HBOT. They take my insurance, and all I need is a referral.
How likely do you guys think it is for an LLMD to sign off and refer me.
I am ready to try some new things.

Here is a link to a list and explanation of the 14 FDA "approved" conditions that most often align with what insurance companies are willing to pay for. There are exceptions, however, so all you can do is try!
The next question is what the treatment protocol would be...what pressure would be used, how many sessions approved, etc. There is much controversy over high vs.mild pressure as well as the number of sessions necessary for treating Lyme.
A good book to read to learn more about how hyperbaric works is "The Oxygen Revolution" by Dr. Paul Harch, and/or visit his website: hbot.com.
Showing the before and after SPECT scans to your LLMD (if she isn't already familiar with hyperbaric) might be helpful...

I had over 70 dives and, I believe, it helped me. I would do it again, the deeper, the better.

If it doesn't work out, PM me and I can give you the name of an HBOT clinic in Northern VA that is run by a Lyme doc and that deals almost exclusively with Lyme patients.
They don't take insurance but it is nice to be treated in a place where they really understand Lyme. Apparently Lymies react a little differently to HBOT than other conditions.
I know it's a hike but they even have patients drive down from Pennsylvania.
