Every night around 4-6 i start feeling horrible. i am pretty good all day, than the evening hits and i start getting this horrendous headache, nauseous, and over all toxic feeling.

My neck and back also killing me, neck worse at night and during these nightly flare ups, but that is more from ankylosing spondylitis than lyme stuff.. i think. Like clockwork every night this happens and i have no idea why. i have been doing so much better otherwise.

This has happened to me before and lasts for about a month at a time. So I am ruling out food allergies because I have been on the same diet while this comes and goes.

any ideas???
My ideas are: hormones, babs, gallbladder, possibly food but that would be very surprising, another parasite?
if you have any new ideas or could elaborate on any of mine I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks!

kelly

Consider possible Adrenal or Bladder/Kidney issues (per Chinese Organ Chart - see http://wellness.mcuniverse.com/2011/the-chinese-body-clock-why-do-i-feel-differently-at-different-hours-of-the-day/ for more info).

Kidneys are involved with detoxing blood, and Adrenals are often impaired with chronic illness.

Does it happen soon after eating supper?

Sounds like it may be low serotonin? That is when the norepinephrine is low in the body and the serotonin begins to take over. I believe low serotonin is related to migraines as well and with a headache/nausea I believe that is the same part of the brain.

Maybe try a little magnesium (400mg) and 5htp (50mg or so) and see if that helps? That is my best guess.

On the days before my period, I get depressed feeling around 6pm and it lasts to 8pm. I have low progesterone, so right before my period my progesterone is really low.

Low progesterone lowers the level of serotonin which in turn causes that depressed feeling for me. Problem is I didn't respond well to progesterone cream in the past and I haven't re-visited trying to raise it up to normal

I get headaches every evening too. I take imitrex the instant I feel it coming on and it knocks it out. If I wait five minutes, it hits pretty hard and makes me nauseated. Lately I have been having more than one headache.

I don't know what it is either but I have an appointment with a LLND on tuesday and that is something I want to ask her.

It is funny because most of the day I feel pretty good.

I always have a fever in the 4-6pm timeframe.

The late afternoon was listed somewhere as a time to have blood drawn for testing because the bugs would be more likely to be out...thus the fevers. I have no idea why [Frown]

Maybe you're feeling toxic because you are more toxic around that time. Perhaps something in your environment is making you ill or you're experiencing die-off from morning/afternoon meds.

Kelly .. If your diet is not good... then by your second or third meal of the day it all gangs up on you.

Headache with nausea may be migraine.

Are you getting enough magnesium?

Ankylosing spondylitis is likely due to Lyme.
Look into PEMF, pulsed magnetic energy, for the pain.

SLML,
thank you for that insight, i think you are on to something! i also have very low progesterone. i thought it was interesting that when i took tramedol almost all my symptoms were alleviated, than i found out that tramedol is a serotonin releaser. i think you cracked the case! i started taking sam-e today, i hope that will help.

thank you to everyone else for all your input!
