I know the answer to my question is probably somewhere on this forum. But I'm not sure how to look for it.
I'm just wondering if it is common to have just psychiatric symptoms alone? Or would most people have other neurological symptoms or other symptoms such as joint pain?
I was treated for Lyme from 2006 to 2009. I was on Cymbalta as part of my protocol. Since coming off Cymbalta a few weeks ago, I'm suffering terribly. I know Cymbalta withdrawal can be severe, but it has me worried that my severe headaches and anxiety might be lyme related. Thanks if anyone can direct me to some info on this.

Here's an article about it:
The psychological effects of Lyme disease Can a tick bite drive you crazy?
I know two people who are bi-polar. One just got diagnosed with Lyme and has been bi-polar for 30 years. It goes back to when she was first infected. The other also became bi-polar when she was infected.
I do believe it can be mostly psychology from my experience with my friend. The other symptom she had was MCS (though very mild).

I hope your Dr can give some clue into what is going on. Maybe the change from stopping the Cymbalta?
It is miserable and scary when our brains don't seem to function like we need them to.
Take good care and let us know how you are doing.

Thank you Dogsandcats. Maybe it is just the Cymbalta withdrawal. I hope it is. I'm feeling kinda hopeless and helpless. But gotta hang in there and get to the bottom of it. Thanks.
