Although a positive ANA is pretty common with Lyme, I don't think everyone has a positive result.

Anyone know for sure?

Doesn't that (ANA) correlate with auto-immunity?

Are you asking about Anaplasma? or ANA (Antinuclear antibody)

I think patients with arthritic lyme frequently have positive ANA results but those with more neuro symptoms may not have positive ANA.

Hubby did not have positive ANA results.

No.

Positive lyme.

Very much neuro lyme.

Negative ANA.

(nuclear antibody).

I do not have a positive ANA or any signs of auto-immune issues based on testing.

They are two separate issues.

Just retread my post. I always had a positive Ana until this last reading. That's what I tried to write

Then your Lyme may be under better control??

My ANA was high in the beginning of treatment. It later turned to normal (after Lyme treatment.)

Sjogren's showed up later.. that may be an ANA test. I'm not sure.

I thought ANA was autoimmune indicative too. My sisters have lupus with a positive ANA. I have never had a positive ANA though.

My son had a sky-high ANA, I don't remember the number, that slowly came down to normal over his 18 months of treatment.

Mine was through the roof. Like off the charts. Went down over time. The Dr didn't seem to think much of it. I still don't really know what it meant. I don't think it means anything except your body is fighting something.
