Hi,

I'm going to being starting IM rocephin. Do I need to worry about my gallbladder?

I know someone who did IV rocephin and had to have their gallbladder removed.

I'm just curious and want to prepare questions for my LLMD.

Some people take Actigall/Ursodiol with Rocephin. Whether it really helps is a matter of opinion. Borrelia/Lyme likes the gall bladder. So some lose it without being on Rocephin. I am sure your lyme doc will have an opinion.

I take ursodiol, 1 pill, at each meal. (3 times per day total)

I take it along with my other meds and oral abx.

The magnesium, iodoral, proferrin, and other minerals I take away from everything else between meals. Seems just about every mineral impedes some type of prescription or another, so I take the minerals with snacks to be on the safe side.

I am on IV rocephin. high dose. And also high dose ursodiol.

Does anybody know if i need to take actigall on days i am not infusing ? To cover my bases
