I have had almost daily over the last six months times of an hour or more when my voice becomes very soft and quiet, without my doing so.

Has anyone had this? Thanks

Yes! After intense bouts of neurolyme flares, it is almost like I have lost my voice.

But instead of being hoarse, like it is with laryngitis, it is just really quiet, and no matter how hard I try, I can't make it louder.

Other times, my voice is very loud, almost yelling, and I don't understand why this happens either.

Noticed if other "agitation" or stimulation, like music, me laughing too much, or msg, then the loudness is there.

But the voice softness is totally related to the encephalitis/brain swelling I get when I go down with bad neuro lyme flares.

Sometimes on those days I also have a hard time swallowing liquid. They seem to bounce back up and then I inhale them too.

Acetazolamide has helped me with the brain swelling.

Yes, I have voice problems too. Gets to the point that sometimes I would rather communicate by email than by phone.

I think this is related to infection in the nervous system.

I dont but my aunt who is dx with parkinsons does. Her docs told her it goes with parkinsons

There is a good chance she has undx and ub txed lyme

Yes -- if I was in a major herx.

It was as if it took too much energy to actually get the words out. My voice would literally be weak.
