Titled: Hippocratic Oaths Everyone Should Take

Worth reading more than once!

I especially like: "Know what the person the disease has...

rather than what disease the person has."

I see potential dangers in suggesting the same protocols to everyone who has a particular disease.

For example, Ginkgo is in a MANY supplements in "protocols" and is very toxic for some persons.

"Ginkgotoxin is structurally related to vitamin B6.

It is suggested that ginkgotoxin interferes with the synthesis of the vitamin by
decreasing the activity of pyridoxal kinase in mammals.

This decrease leads to the decreased availability of glutamate decarboxylase.

(= GAD which is needed to convert glutamate = "accelerator to GABA = brake and CO2. GAD is PLP dependent.)

In turn, it causes an imbalance between excitation and inhibition of neurotransmitters. This results in epileptic seizures.

The toxicity of ginkgotoxin can consequently be relieved by taking vitamin B6 supplements.

While the brain CAN use glutamate as an alternative fuel in a jam, too much is toxic.

That's where HBOT comes into play (helpful).

Unfortunately some people make antibodies to GAD 65 and/or GAD 67, in part for "protective reasons"...alternate fuel.
